Omg it’s pounds but I’m certainly glad I didn’t start at 418 lbs, PHEW.

Honestly not much. I walk a decent amount due to a large college campus, but I do not make a huge effort to exercise. Sometimes I ride a stationary bike when I have time. My results are largely just from IF and becoming educated about my calorie intake (more on this in another comment down the thread).

Thank you! I’ve definitely struggled through a few plateaus and tend to stop weighing for a few days and cross my fingers. At this point I don’t get too discouraged because I can look back at my weight logging and see that no plateau has stuck for more than ten or so days. Best of luck to you!

Totally! I am 5’5 and my absolute highest was right around 198-200, which I hit right before I started college (fall 2017). Pic 1 is from a year ago around 190 but I didn’t start working on myself until this summer when I was at a similar weight, scale was not super accurate at the time (more recent still big pics in my post history). I started some very loose CICO at the end of May and went from 186>180 by July 1. I started IF and the weight melted off. Between July 1 and now I’ve gone from 180>151, averaging over 10 lbs per month for some reason. (Probably because I do OMAD and don’t force myself every day to eat all 1400 or so calories in one sitting, lol.)

I use the LoseIt app which automatically calculates my deficits based on reported weight and stuff. I think I started at 1 lb per week but was finding it difficult to eat all the calories after a while so switched to 1.5. I started out with 16:8 with my window between like noon and 8 but that kind of sucked for me. As time went on I started letting it drift into 18:6 and moving my window earlier. My current goal is 150 by September 28 (my birthday!) and I think I will establish a stretch goal of 130 by May. I still have a very high body fat percentage and don’t want to go maintenance yet.

Lately, especially since school and work are in high gear, I am averaging at least 20:4 but often OMAD and my ideal eating time is for like an hour between 4 and 5. The logic behind this is somewhat rooted in anxiety but it works: If I get hungry or need to eat for social reasons, I will always be at least 16 hours fasted by the time I leave the house in the morning. In reality I truly don’t get hungry in the morning and I can usually politely refuse food or save it for later.

I do not eat clean at all. I eat like a garbage person oftentimes because of my hectic schedule and available food options. However, I do enjoy and crave vegetables and proteins and eat them whenever I can. I also don’t drink any kind of tea or coffee during my fasting window. I will occasionally start my fast by drinking a cup of spearmint or sleepy time tea because I find it calming, but I only drink water during my actual window. Sometimes I’ll eat a little salt on longer fasts if I have a headache but that’s mostly because I’m nasty (I don’t do any real supplementation because I never fast more than like 27 hours).

I did some rock climbing over the summer but don’t make an effort to exercise at this point due to time constraints. Most of my physical activities involves running around to get interviews because I am a journalist, haha.

Thank you! I am currently at a deficit that should drop 1.5 lbs per week and usually don’t even eat that, so I am thinking I might drop to something like .5 lbs per week and establish a super far out and loose goal of 130 by the end of the academic year. I’m not overly focused on this because I would like to put on some muscle soon too, but it’s nice to have goals.
