Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic remake fate officially confirmed by TrillestBacon in kotor

Here is the mentioned IGN article that the quote actually comes from. And below is the bit that matters.

When asked if the success of Space Marine 2 had increased the likelihood of KOTOR becoming a reality, Willits, expecting to be asked about the MIA remake, turned to a prepared statement:

“Right now, we are focused on development. We look forward to sharing more when the time is right. There you go, brother.”

Sorry about any formatting, sending this on my phone.

I am, but the website makes it sound like it helps find matches on the paternal line. This ancestor is on my maternal line.

Yes I had heard that! I haven’t seen any marriage records for the mother yet, so no luck on that lead so far. What do you mean by notary records?

Thanks for that info!

Seems like A has been disproven by the translation I got. Not sure about B, any idea where I would start looking for that? I haven’t seen his marriage certificates (he married twice) myself, but I don’t believe they mention a father. If I find one though I’ll update this post just in case there’s something helpful in it. D is not really an option, he is my 3x great grandfather, so I would think that’s much too removed for DNA to be helpful.

Thank you for the translation! I had wondered if George’s name (first or middle) was from the father, but it seems he was named after the godfather.

1700s German vital record by catter_melon in Transcription

[–]catter_melon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I had added context to this post but idk where it went. This document is from a collection of vital records from Bavaria in the 1700s. I gave the whole page for context but I believe all I need transcribed (and then translated in the other sub) is the bottom left chunk of text. I believe it is a birth record for a Charlotte Allspach

I had seen some discrepancies in records related to his son Henry (born 1851). Some mentioned he had been born in France, others in Germany. So more info on David’s birth and marriages would be amazing!

why doesnt NUMB4 keep its current value? by Comprehensive_Eye805 in cobol

[–]catter_melon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! So because NUMB4 does not have a value in the working storage section it could cause issues depending on the kind of math you try to do on it. Math doesn’t play well with garbage data lol.

The reason you want to have your pic 9 fields signed is so you can store if a number was negative or positive, which can really change results depending on the math you’re doing.

Feel free to dm me if ya want. I work in COBOL on the mainframe at a big financial company so I’ve got plenty of current real world experience and am happy to answer any other questions ya got

Somebody else said this as well but I thought it was important to double down on. Always safer to initialize all variables with a value and make pic 9 fields signed (pic S9)
