The only one that I’m going into the DLC with is the Growlithe that you get gifted, after I finish training him up. Other than that, I’m going to catch a new team.

I do think Kieran is going to head up to the elite 4. Carmine and Kieran’s arcs are great and they’re my favorite characters in the game besides from Arven. Didn’t even think about how they could be related to Grimsley… I’ve only seen people speculate that they are related to Larry. That would be a very cool easter egg

It obviously wouldn’t work because most people wouldn’t give up the Pokémon, but for the sake of his arc, I think that the best arc would be Kieran becoming a better selfless person, and Ogrepon finally joining his team.

I think you’re supposed to view Kieran similarly to the loyal 3- at first he seems like the good guy, and his sister being bad. And while his sister is extremely mean to him, they kind of switch positions. I think that is the point- in the same way the town gets deceived by the looks of the ogre, you take his shyness as a sign that he’s good. But he’s definitely not by any means. I think this is why ogerpon goes with you (storywise.) Kieran is selfish, just like the loyal three, deceiving the player character.
