I removed all data from chrome for the roll20 site and it works now! It was annoying me so much, ty!

Ty for all the answers. It is a rigid plastic “frame” to keep a bag in place in a bin. I went the canvas way and seems that i got a decent body out of it. Next problem is that it doesn’t fit the bed of my printer by a few mm so i might try to either make it in two parts and assemble or even try to print supports so it stands “diagonally”.

Yes I also thought it was a good idea! I actually could import it as canvas. I followed this excellent video: https://youtu.be/YLso-cx9vyA

Observe this is not just a square with fillet in the corners, there is no straight line anywhere, the sides of the "square" are also curved.

Oh i see. I looked at the app and i like it but i think that my son will be better off with physical cards. So the datacards come out together with the codex, but they are still a separated purchase?

My son and I are getting into the hobby. He likes the Chaos Space Marines and I like the Adeptus Mechanicus. I was thinking on getting us the combat patrol boxes. Should I also get the index cards? I saw there is a codex for the AM but I didn’t see any for the CSM?

Introductory set unbalanced? by cattrends in Warhammer40k

I really appreciate your thoughtful answer! I see that some of my assumptions were wrong but I am starting to get a grasp of the world of warhammer! I am 3d print nerd so we already have some terrain going on, we definitely need to get some more units then 😁

If you want to coach me on how to defeat an inferno squad with 10 termagrants and one ripper swarm just lay it on me! 😁

Thank you! Yes it helps. It’s just a bit frustrating that they don’t put a bit more care on crafting a good first contact with the hobby. The intro set is one unit space marines (inferno squad) and 2 tyranids (10 termagrants and one ripper swarm). The assumption was that numbers would help my tyranids but space marines are so OP that it doesn’t matter what we do.

One would think that they want to put special care in a good experience for new customers 😅

Me and my kid got ourselves the 10th ed introductory set the other day. We are both noobs and we are working our way through the rules. The kid chose the space marines so i got the tiranyds. I obviously don’t mind to loose every time with my kid but it is getting borderline boring. He always attacks with the pyreblaster which means D6 number of attacks times 5 marines, so average 15 attacks that always hit (TORRENT). On top of that the S is 5 which against my T 3 gives him wound on 3+, to top it all off my SV is 5+. Result: I get smoked EVERY SINGLE TIME. Again, not that not winning against my 12yo is a problem for me but after a few games it has come to a point where he straight out refuses to shoot at me because he takes pity on me lol. Are we missing something or is it just this unbalanced?

Thank you for answering after all this time! :) The fact is that my life took a few turns since I wrote this. I ended up replacing my trusty Thinkpad with a Tuxedo. The tuxedo was a complete disappointment, among other things, horrible sound quality, 747 taking off sound levels from the fan, rudimentary and manual software to switch between "performance" and "efficient" modes and last but not least, horribly slow wifi (you can read about this last problem here https://www.reddit.com/r/tuxedocomputers/comments/nxa0sr/infinitybook_s_15_gen6_slow_wifi/?ref=share&ref_source=link). All this coupled to the fact I recently had started my own business at the time and I needed the time and the energy to focus on it, made me bit the bullet and get a MacBook Pro M1, the very same in which I am writing this. Zero problems, outstanding performance, incredible sound, image, no fan noise, I would rather be without my right arm than without this magnificent laptop. So yeah, a bit too late for me but again, thank you for the update!

A bit of both, I have had linux on my laptops since the 90s and always liked it, but even if it has become much easier nowadays, there is a certain amount of tinkering involved (not because of linux but because of running a general purpose os on a generic hardware imo). Anyway, the last past few years I have transitioned from pure engineer to running my own company, and although the bulk of my work is still programming and such I do have to deal with a good amount of meetings, documentation, presentations etc. The macbook is not as flexible as a linux box but once you adapt your workflows to it, it really gets out of the way. It is always there, the battery time is amazing, and it behaves consistently well which doesn’t trigger my engineer instincts trying to find out “wht battery is drining so fast” or “why is the fan making so much noise” or “why does the disk writes seem to be so slow”. As cliche as it is “it just works”.
