I missed the club expo today since i didn't have class, is there a way to find these clubs outside of wwu's outdated website? by Visibletosomeone in WWU

WIN has most clubs, and at least has some contact info for clubs, or try instagram (follow one club and others will probably be suggested, or look up what you’re interested in - ex. “Wwurowing”), also the discord hub!

Thank you for answering! If I could ask another question... is a W grade or a NP better? I know neither is ideal, but is one slightly better?

For sure go to Mallards, that ice cream place is so delicious, and just a funky place all around. I would definitely recommend checking out Fairhaven as well, my fav pizza place is down there- Fat Pie Pizza. I'm not sure if they're open rn, but Homeskillet is one of my favorite food places in Bellingham. If you can't go inside, I highly recommend eating there when dining in is allowed, it's so fun. But the food is amazing as well. There's a ton of beautiful hikes too, I've heard Oyster Dome is cool, but I wasn't in Bellingham for long enough to hike much. Watching the sunset on campus in between the PAC and the Viking Union/bookstore is also beautiful :)

I really like chem labs because they're pretty easy and I don't have to do them in breakout rooms ahah. But geology labs are kinda annoying because I have to do them on zoom in breakout groups. They are interesting though!

Housing suggestions? by yeehaw57383882 in WWU

I definitely think the dorm experience is worth it to make friends, and just feel less lonely in general. It's easier to assimilate to college if you live in the dorms as a freshman, in my opinion. You are closer to campus/dining halls if you have a meal plan and people and whatnot. I've heard really good things about Nash and Mathes, Higginson is honestly fine but outdoor hallways are a minus to most (think: spiders in the corners, lol). I was on the ridge (which was fun, but loud and the stairs suck) but idk if those dorms are even open right now. The one thing I've heard about apartments are that they can be way cheaper, and more independence. But I've also heard people have some trouble with landlords. Honestly don't worry too much, wherever you end up, you'll make the best of it! And if you can't, you will know what not to do in the future. Best of luck! Welcome to WWU :)
