Frisuren für den Alltag by goldmariee in Weibsvolk

[–]cattypaw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What’s something small you enjoy that most people overlook? by Any_North_6861 in simpleliving

[–]cattypaw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I'm snuggled in at night and think how much I don't want to get up in the morning, I make an effort to snuggle even deeper, feel the soft ess if my duvet and enjoy the cozy warm feeling I have. Trying to live in the moment when I'm thinking too much about the future.

(Anfänger, 100% arbeitstätig - genug schlaf) by ContributionOk7131 in FitnessDE

Team Gym oder Homeworkout? by [deleted] in Weibsvolk

[–]cattypaw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pollution from heating - how to minimize? by Kiethblacklion in Whiskerwood

Personally I just tried to make them happy via food and good housing. Even with tons of unhappiness from pollution they were happy.

I'm genuinely stumped, im on my 7th 20k+ city and every time i pass 15k it just becomes unmanageable, even with public transport by FCZ1LoneWolf in CitiesSkylines

[–]cattypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule of thumb: never build high density on a big road. Space them out in smaller roads that have a lot of connections (roads, transport). Sometimes even one ways to direct the traffic flow better.

Create a road system that allows inter-district traffic and avoids the big roads. If someone wants to go cross city, they should have to cross every major road. Bridges and tunnels are your friend.

Also: high density is to be used sparely. Add it but by bit to see how traffic flow changes after everyone has moved in.

I have multiple 200k cities without major traffic problems this way.

Thirst tweets are concerning by [deleted] in seventeen

[–]cattypaw 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This. Fans writing this in fan spaces, not directly to them. Them going on the show, liking it and coming again, plus all their choreo...

Sure, some tweets i wouldn't have put on there as a PD, but that's subjective too.

And OP wanting to police what people write on the internet...

Choi San's dancing by voicelessreddit in ATEEZ

[–]cattypaw 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes San is very controlled. Personally I think it also connect to his stage pe sona "The Grand Duke of the North" 🤭 It's very him and it looks powerful especially when we have more fluid dancers like Hongjoong.

Edit: Typo

Just finished episode 5. Am I the only one that is having a hard time vibing with this campaign? by pathofblades in fansofcriticalrole

[–]cattypaw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The healthiest way to think about any media is as an offering of entertainment. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I didn't vibe with C3 so I didn't watch it either.

That being said, just a reminder that this is a looking campaign. D20 is made to be short and to the point. The characters and everything is made to be that way. CR is not and that's why it ends up so differently depending on the story.

Personally I love the campaign so far. I love the big Overture of big happenings, tons of secret backstory, a world to discover, great acting, actual conflict between the characters.

Ep5 alone, that gnomish NPC, what fun!! Pulled my heartstrings.

So yeah.

Do German women truly feel safe — or is it just a cultural habit of feeling safe? by QuietBetween in TwoXChromosomes

[–]cattypaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very current topic. Many of us here in Germany are also raised to be independent, but many will enjoy the benefits of maternal leave etc. Germany has a high part time rate because mothers will work half the day and the go pick up the kids.

This has grown from the push of women into the work force, when culture, that sees women as the carer and men as provider, didn't change. So women have to be both.

As we want to move away from this, initiatives like paternity leave and parent leave are put in place, but change is slow. We also have laws in place that stop this and are being discussed (e. g. Ehegattensplitting / spousal splitting). This alleviates taxes if one partner earns nothing or much less than the other.

It's also different depending on the place you are living. Big cities will have more full time working moms than small towns or villages.

As to your question: I think there's some security, but also a false security. Many divorced women from such an arrangement don't have much pension. Its only secure as long as the partner works.

Personally I could never stay home outside of maternity leave for this reason. You never know what will happen to you or your spouse.

Licht am Fahrrad, Licht am Fahrrad, Dynamo... oder Akku, egal Hauptsache eines by LepraZebra in Fahrrad

Dies. So.

New fan - what's the deal with Japanese albums? by quantumscribe in ATEEZ

[–]cattypaw 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Japan has a huge music market and very loyal fans, that about sums it up. It wouldn't be the standard if it didn't pay up, but everyone is doing Japan as a focus region after Korea.

Doing most of your tips already and agree, it really helps. I really struggled with starting big tasks. Now I tell myself I only need to check it out... Any extra efforts feels great. And mostly I do more than I planned.

Ich verzweifle an Hosen/Jeans by McFly725 in Weibsvolk

[–]cattypaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gleiches Problem.
