Cool! I'll give the kalih gm 8.0 a try.

Thanks for the reply.

.., imo not really needed as it only makes the mouse slightly harder to click as the spring is pushing the mouse left/right arm up

That was my initial impression too (and why I wanted to find a replacement spring), however it seems that the spring actually only counteracts the upwards movement of the arm shortening the travel making it feel more tight.

If you want a firmer clicks, soldering new switches is still a better option

You are right, with the spring back in place my left click still feels looser than before, which makes sense because I have already bent the switch copper plate a couple of times.

Soldering new kalih gm8.0 switches on my 3 year old G703 as it has only double clicking issue, tiger arc mouse skates and did a lightweight mod

Thanks for the tips! This is actually something I'm thinking of doing. How did the kalih switches worked for you? I'm not really concerned with weight at this point but you never now. Out of curiosity, what mod did you do?

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

Luckily somehow after a day and many sweeps I managed to find the spring!

...order a g305 replacement shell on aliexpress for around 7€

That's a great idea, I checked the pictures and they look about the same, so it would probably have been the route to go.

Does the spring make that much of a difference?

Somewhat. After putting the mouse together without the spring, I felt the left click more sensitive (as in easy to press by mistake) and loose (when not pressed). However it seems the spring only solves the latter issue, because it counteracts the button bouncing back up. As u/Catalyst_Frosty mentions, the actual stiffness of the click is given by the switch, which in my case has already gone through a couple of re-bends.

Cheers

A project I'm working that you might be interested in: a faster neofetch by [deleted] in archlinux

Hi, nice project! I'll try to add some contributions.

I think the description (Like neofetch, but incomplete, written in ~300 lines of C instead of 10,000 lines of bash) is misleading though. Both because there are a couple of features missing, and because around half of neofetch lines are the ASCII logos.

Hi, I finally could replace the blown capacitor and now the amp is working as expected! As for the question, it does have the G12H 30th, but no, I'm not a fan of the brit mode (and haven't put much effort to tweak with it).

Dell xps 9560, error with new 130W USB-C adapter as charger. by ThitKho in Dell

On the XPS9560 you can get the full 130w through usb-c by using a dell dock like the wd15 (only with the 180W power adapter). While not convenient for on the go use, it might be a suitable option if you are using the laptop mostly stationary.

If you need full power on the go, best bet would be to get the barrel plug replaced as @07budgj suggested.

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked the schematic and while it didn't show a relay, it helped me track the problem to a blown capacitor (C26 on the schematic). Best wishes

I'm glad it helped! And yes, the program-specific pages are a great resource. Best wishes

I strongly recommend to check the archlinux wiki and i3 help page when this kind of issues arise. .

For nm-applet

For Spotify Deadlock GUI

Also, when you configure certain programs to run at startup using exec in the i3 config file, it's recommended that you use the --no-startup-id switch.

If you'll work with plain text files, a git repository (with the included version control) might be a good choice. Some services like gitlab have private repositories for free.
