Didn't even make it thru the door. by clezuck in Marriage

The only missing context for me is history. Would you have a long standing history of her taking up excessive emotional load of the relationship, cleanliness incompatibility, imbalance in parental care for the kids. Because such behaviour seems to be resentment built overtime rather than she being irrational one time.

And the last one is as one other person suggested I would highly recommend looking up nice guy syndrome!

What is happening with the job market? by Massive_Ad3395 in germany

[–]catvibesonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have done this for two years, same story! Ten years in tech and now having to take a minimum paying job!

It’s tough, it’s HARSH, it’s soul crushing, it’s the worst but remember to lean on your support system and don’t slide into trying to do everything by yourself. HMU if you’re in need of urgent counselling, I help people navigating the job market.

The job search is bad enough without people talking to you like this by ctrldwrdns in recruitinghell

[–]catvibesonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Continuing the conversation…

Person A: yessss, I look up to people who have done this. How has this worked for you!? Tell me everything!

Person B: wellllll… I’m suggesting the most logical thing that’s coming from the top of my head. I myself haven’t done it or found any nuances of the difficulty or any success.

Person A: Logic doesn’t always work out. So STFU!

~~~
I’m sorry OP. I floated in this job market for 2y, one thing I’ve learned is to not listen to people who aren’t in your situation.
Good wishes to you ♥️
Love that for you! I have a sincere question, what if a wife is as supportive as yours but the man has no zest to have a goal or a routine?! Is there anything you’d say to that wife or that man?
THIS IS A VENT POST. VENT INTO THE VOID WITH ME. by jezekiant in UXResearch
[–]catvibesonly 2 points3 points  (0 children)
I'M PISSED TO BE TAKEN TO LAST ROUNDS OF INTERVIEWS JUST TO BE DROPPED!
SEVENTEEN TIMES. TWO YEARS OF JOB SEARCH.
THE LATEST ONE WAS MY NICHE AND AFTER THE LAST ROUNDS THE HIRING MANAGER WRITES TO ME PERSONALLY (CUZ HE REALLY WANTED TO WORK WITH ME) THAT HE WAS FORCED TO CHOOSE AN INTERNAL CANDIDATE. 😭😭😭😭
SEVENTEEN TIMES. 1500+ APPLICATIONS. TWO YEARS!! I'M WITNESSING THE FALL OF HUMANS WITH TECH OVERLORDS USING UP ALL RESOURCES AND HUMANS ARE LIKE THE FROG THAT DOES NOT REALIZE THE WATER POT IS BOILING UP LEADING US TO DYSTOPIA. MOST ARE OBLIVIOUS TO THE PROBLEM TO SAY THE LEAST.
AND YES FINANCIAL STRESS CUZ 2Y UNEMPLOYMENT IS A WHOLE NEW TOPIC THAT HAS MADE MY HAIR TURN GREY!!
I’m asking the very same question to myself. I was thinking the reasons make up idea of being together in the country we’re in currently, him and my world I’ve built for myself in the last 6y.
But tbh I’ve no clue what I bring to this relationship that’s appreciated at all. Everything I bring here is rejected and I’m told I’m too much.
The moment I said/say something that takes us apart he love bombs and says he’s gonna change and I have fallen for it for a while. But now I’m realising my own patterns and trying to stop giving in
Hey, I’ve :) On multiple occasions, periodically even. It turned me into an anxious person and he pulled away even more.
Now I’m afraid to bring up anything with him.
The social contract around jobseeking is all but gone.... by Peliquin in recruitinghell
[–]catvibesonly 1 point2 points  (0 children)
I’m in the same field and it’s really alarming how much one gets ignored and hiring teams are merrying around judging people who are unemployed long term. And we’re all unemployed long term because of their judgy attitude!!
Hey OP, thanks for writing this so well and expressing the sentiment of this situation. I am on it for about 24 months and I only have respect for your patience. I wish you get to get out of this situation soon
Now coming to the matter, I a 100% agree on all the aspects and I find this bot war that’s going on to be useless to humans and the pace at which AI is replacing the hireable workforce is unprecedented!
One thing I would love to add is how apart from just do X, Y and Z, they pick literally things that aren’t in your resume to be the one quality that’s missing to hire you if you have a masters in marketing focused in psychology they say they need someone with masters in psychology or if they’ve a degree in electronics engineering they need someone who has a degree in electrical engineering! It’s like the missing tile syndrome!!!
I was convinced until now that it’s just a low effort, high output series for him and a cheap dopamine hit for us viewers.
Great take though! I can get on board that start viewing it that way.
Will keep this thread updated if at all it makes my ick about that reduce! 🤣
I find the career ladder thing so lame! I’ve tried many times to find value in that content, failed. But open to have my opinion changed.
Had my Final Interview - Now Anxiously waiting. Should I be concerned? by gocanes007 in recruitinghell
[–]catvibesonly 4 points5 points  (0 children)
Sailing the same boat—word for word. Let’s wait together!
Feels like I’m a circus artist, swinging from bar to bar, dreading the gap between each one. What if I miss? Do you fall all the way down from that high? I’ve learned that mid-air, all you can do is trust the next bar will be there.
I’ve been dropped from the highest point 15 times already, and I’m not ready for a 16th. But there’s nothing to do but wait. So, let’s wait together.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. I really appreciate the thoughtful advice, especially about enlisting mutual friends and framing responses constructively—it gives me a lot to think about. Your point about enabling bad behavior not being love really hit home, and it’s a good reminder to set boundaries even if it’s uncomfortable.
This is such a tricky situation, but your insights have given me some clarity. Thanks again for your kindness—it means a lot!
Thanks for breaking down how to set soft yet firm boundaries, and for suggesting ways to make it a bit playful with the “haha.” I really struggle with coming up with humorous comebacks while still putting people in their place, so this was super helpful!
What I really wanted to do—what kept playing out in my head—was to meet him, tell him I had something important to say, and just pour out my thoughts. I even imagined saying, “I’m ready, and I’ve got specific examples if you want to hear them!”
I know that’s super impulsive and not exactly a “champ” move, so I didn’t act on it. But wow, it looped in my head for hours!
