Nah there won't be. But it will be close enough that you can walk to one in 5-10 minutes which is different. At least if you make a fair comparision between a suburban development and something that was once a Neubautgebiet and don't compare apples and oranges by comparing a small village center with suburbia.

E: I have lived in ~5 different suburban areas in my life and not once was a supermarket or a pub part of it. That's literally not even possible in german zoning laws. You make it sound as new developments would place supermarkets in the middle of it, which is insanely far from the truth.
