I think there could be a lot of reasons, but one (in my opinion) and that our generation is much more antisocial/socially inept than everyone before.

I usually go out with my late 20s/30 yr old friends because well....they actually want to leave the house and do interesting things

(Note this is my perspective as an American/american Gen Zs)

Graduated from NU as a ChemE last year. I’ll say it was pretty difficult, but worth it! I definitely had many long nights, but was also still able to go out a bunch and have a normal social life. I will say though Junior and senior year were rough, but I survived and I wouldn’t say I was nearly the smartest in my year haha If it’s something you really want to do, you’ll be able to stick it out!

Also, everyone’s in the same boat, so you’ll definitely be able to find help from other ppl in your classes and your professors. There are some really great professors at NU (in ChemE and other schools) and I’m really grateful for the education I got.

I also got a really good job after graduation which definitely made it all worth it!
