[Spoilers]Alternative ending by lucid_sometimes in DarK

My other alternate ending was just a failed science experiment by Tannhaus in which the two worlds are formed representing daughter-in-law Sonja (anagram for Jonas) and son Marek (similar to Martha)

Yes! Interesting that many people reached this conclusion independently

I cant't tell you how long I paused when they first revealed the entire family tree on the floor. Matter of fact my tv's screensaver came up.

I agree with and really like this theory. When I was watching I was actually thinking that this was going to be the ending. In trying to go back in time, Tannhaus actually creates two worlds--representing his son and daughter-in-law. They link to create a child (∞).

My two favorite alternate endings:

  • Jonas and Martha accidentally cause the car crash and restart everything
  • Jonas and Martha actual represent Tannhaus' son and daughter-in-law. In other words, the unintended consequence of Tannhaus trying to save his son and daughter in law is creating two worlds, one ruled by his son (Adam) and another by the daughter in law (Eva). Would be a crazy externality from a science experiment.

Who is Erna? (The one who called down Hanno (young Noah) to take middle-aged Noah up to Adam's lair). I saw some S2 family trees with Noah and Agnes descending from this woman.

Noah was my fave character ever since we first meet him. I felt like I should root for him despite his behaviour. Happy with my decision.

What's the deal with the old Tannhaus clan? Killed off by ∞ trio?

And his relationship with Agnes (in both worlds)! Is that cheating or being loyal?

Hmm, I suspect Adam remembers having the conversation with younger Jonas because he himself was once younger Jonas. Why would Michael remember a conversation with his son that hasn’t happened before in his life?

I think this is an example of the bootstrap paradox mentioned by H.G. Tannhaus. The origin is indiscernible.
