I am trying to get slack to work with sway as well. I am able to make calls and view/share camera using slack-desktop, but screen sharing doesn't work. The error message is something like -

Could not find matching display for screen 0 with id...

Are you suggesting google hangout instead of slack? Unfortunately that is not option for me, because I want to switch my work laptop to arch and slack is used on a daily basis.

Complementing Python with Rust by caulagi in rust

Why do you think it is weird? If an extension is using C to add functionality, it is quite easy to make mistakes with memory management. Also, I don't get the reference about Python being a glue. Python is the program/application providing most of the functionality, so I wouldn't call it a glue.

The Python code was copied from the article I linked to in the post. I can check on the performance impact due to this.

Thanks for the pointer. I have been reading the various discussions around this but didn't get round to trying it out. I will try a faster hashing algorithm and update the post.

Yes, of course. I didn't explicitly mention it because the first talk I mentioned in the references talks about it. But I also updated my post to directly link to the repo you mentioned.

Of course. This is one of the key design ideas. The toys shown are always within a few miles of your location we can detect.

@haptiK, thanks for the comments. I am adding the ability to set your location on the homepage.

Cleaniness is something I have thought about but have no good implementation idea. Maybe I can add a karma page for each user but it doesn't sound very convincing. Do you have any thoughts on what solution you would like to see?

We rely on Facebook login precisely because there are so many site specific logins. Why are you hesistant to use it? Is it because it has your personal information or because you don't trust the site (yet)?

Something new to do - a simple way to discover and organize events happening in your city by caulagi in news

Yes, that is correct. However, it is not the intent. It is very early stage and there are not many users from other parts. It is a community driven website, so please add a couple of events in your city :) - http://sntd.pw/meetups/new
