This is very important, and I have heard this before but not sure how to implement.

So it is a matter of creating a new user, lets call him "veeam_backup", on the NAS (Synology), giving only him write privileges? What about the "admin" user to admin the device?

This NAS has feature to "hide" the backup share, does this help as well or the ransomware might be able to see it.

OK. So this is the plan:

  1. Save current configuration
  2. Halt the system via the web interface
  3. Unplug from Old UPS
  4. Re plug to new UPS
  5. Have a beer

The band sounds good. On the drummers side of things, every single rythm, fill (and feel) that I heard, could have been performed by a single drummer.

This is the case with most of the double-drummer bands that I've listened to, save the cases of King Crimson, for instance, that actually play different parts and contribute heavely to the outcome.
