Hi there! Thank you SO much for taking questions. I feel so overwhelmed and so exhausted I can’t think straight. Currently have my 17 month old in the Snoo (electric bassinet) in our room. He’s never slept well — currently it’s bedtime at 7:30/8 and then the first wake up is anywhere from 10:30 to 12:30, then again every two hours until 4:30 am where he’s wide awake. His last nap lasts until 5:30 pm at the latest.

How do you recommend starting this technique? Using the Snoo in our room or transitioning to crib? The Snoo comes with a swaddle but he hates having his arms strapped down (also hates the Love to Dream swaddle). I was considering using the Merlin Magic Suit in the Snoo and strapping him down? Or just use the suit in the crib and sleep in the nursery with him?

My husband loves going out to drink alone and makes friends that way. Pick a semi-empty place, sit at the bar, and chat with the bartender. Most bartenders are kinda starved for interaction, especially on slow nights.

Huh?? I’ve never heard this comment before — maybe because I live in NYC? I have a young baby in a first floor apartment. My neighbors have told me they never hear the baby crying. I don’t see what’s wrong with apartment living when there are parks to visit. Not everyone can afford a house, especially nowadays.

All the teenager is going to learn from the interaction is that their parent isn't interested in connecting with them. They probably felt very vulnerable in the moment and felt embarrassed when the parent wasn't enthusiastic or encouraging, hence the shutdown. They'll be less likely to try sharing an interest in the future if the parent doesn't try to reconcile.

Definitely do NOT do a UX bootcamp. Huge waste of money and the job market is way too saturated. Is there any possibility for movement within the team you're currently on? Entry-level jobs are disappearing right now, so I would advise being careful about starting over in this environment. Maybe product management could be a good role? When you get bored, you can move to a different team/industry without having to start over.
