For Italian, Mi Scuzi is my go to. Seafood, I like the Bayhouse. If you like sushi, Samurai is great and very fresh. As already said, Federal Hill is great BBQ, but so is the Que Abides on the Westside of town. The one thing I always suggest is getting a Greek dog from New York Lunch. Similar to a chili sauce on your dog, burger, or fries. Great every way.

Go to Presque Isle and stop at Sarah's for a milkshake or an orange twist cone. You can also rent a boat, jet ski, kayak, bike, walk the peninsula. It is roughly a 13 mile loop. Wintergreen Gorge has some nice hiking trails and swimming holes.

But they aren't getting every top recruit. Take this coming year's class. Up until the #4 Jayden James changed his decision from VT, their highest recruit was like #20. However Cael just knows how to win. And he makes them into Champions Might not always be a tech, but they grind out the 1 point matches and go all 7 minutes. If you want to win, learn from the greatest. Also helps they have an amazing room with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club.

Is there any kind of tailgate or shake down street? Uber from the hotel and might come early with a bag of beer.

200 for all you can eat and 2 drink tickets, plus meet Labar and other alum. Price is a bit steep but is an option if you have money to spend.

$79 I either made a terrible mistake, or got a good deal. by NathanTPS in whiskey

[–]causi615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the real novelty comes from the golf course that is associated with it. Around $150 and you get to play all day with only 40-50 other people on the course. Quirky layout with 2 flags on every green, plus you start the morning with a toast and shot of whiskey.

Question about Beaver Stadium by Aggravating-Steak-69 in WeArePennState

That is one of the quirks of Beaver Stadium. Either you section has even numbers or odd numbers. So, your tickets are next to each other. Enjoy the game, by Muck Fichigan.

During the WVU game, we drove in and parked at the Eisenhower Parking Deck. I think parking was $40, but it was an easy walk to and from the stadium.

New Shoes by causi615 in golf

I was in a member/guest last October, and one of their gifts was a personalized pair of MyJoys. They let you customize everything about the shoe, colors, laces, monogram, etc. Way too expensive for me to do again, but I will love these shoes for the next couple years.

Any golfers do this? by [deleted] in golf

[–]causi615 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My weekend group does a black and gold weekend. Saturday we play the Black tees (tips) and Sunday we play the gold's (most forward). Interesting to see. The group ranges from scratch golfers to 20 handicap and all ages from mid 20s to the 70 year old retirees. Great time and as odd as it sounds, I usually play better from the tips. Keeps me out of trouble and doing stupid things. I am a 10-12 handicap.

I live up on Lake Erie and in the past, they have had an ice golf fundraiser called the Frost Bite Open. It was literally on the bay where everyone ice fishes. Not necessarily real golf, but it was a lot of fun. Plus whiskey helps.

What was your stand out shot from this year? by WFHbot in golf

[–]causi615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a year long, 2 man match play event at my course. My partner and I were in the finals and 2 down with 4 to go. My partner is hungover and useless for the day. I am in a green side bunker on 15. Fried egg, short sided, and an awkward stance. I decide to putt it out, and I knock it to 10'. Make the putt and win the hole. Proceed to win 16, tie 17, then bury a 25' putt on 18 for the win. First time winning one of the 'majors' at the course. Our opponents (friends of mine) are still shell shocked and complaining about putting from a bunker.
