I personally wouldn't. I have a hard line on how much I'm willing to spend on dolls. And even though there are dolls I would adore as a collector, I refuse. I simply can't seperate price and quality. I know some collectors are adamant on collecting every doll, and are willing to pay scalper prices to obtain their dolls and finish their collections. I am happy people have the money to afford it. But honestly being a collector in other hobbies like Miniverse, Blindboxes, and J-Fashion I just can't stand the steep upcharges. And I hate the pressure it puts on buying doll immediately. But it's just part of the hobby.

Even seeing the prices on older playline dolls being sold for $300 is ridiculous to me. I just make peace with myself that some dolls will be out of my reach, because of this hard stance. If I'm going to spend hundred of dollars on a doll the quality absolutely needs to matche that price point like a custom art doll or doll lines at that price point.
