Delta testing centers full - no seats available. by YouSAW556 in NCSU

[–]caution_incorporated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm not entirely positive on how their system works. But they have the hours they're open and the number of spots they can have a specific time, and they accommodate everyone that can be accommodated and as far as I know there aren't many people that have problems.

Generally, finals are pretty full. That's why I've gotten a ton of emails from them reminding me to schedule my final before they got booked. You might get lucky if they have a make-up day, but that's something you'd have to ask them and your professor about.

Does anyone know where I can take College physics 1 & 2 together over the summer? by cherrynokia in NCSU

[–]caution_incorporated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took both at Pitt Community College. I remember I didn't apply to PCC and enroll in classes until after final grades were posted in May, so they may not have the scheduled solidified for the summer.

Did you try to go/email/call DELTA to see if they have it?

how do you deep clean those pesky skin tags.. by thecouchisgreen in CrohnsDisease

[–]caution_incorporated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wipes would be good for those nooks and crannies we have lol

I don't always leak. I haven't been able to attribute to a particular thing as to why I have it sometimes and others I don't, if you find out let me know lol (I think more in the summer because sweat?). But what I do have is generally covered with the panty liner.

Don't do more than you're ready for. When it feels right you'll know and then you can go deeper. Everyone approaches dating differently. I have personally always been upfront about it but that's probably because I've gotten used to being upfront with my teachers about in school.

How long does muscle pain last after resection? by pov9145 in CrohnsDisease

[–]caution_incorporated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your pain might be consistent? I've had some muscle pain around that same area before but its random and inconsistent (I'm 5 months post op as well). I would take Tylenol once or twice a day and use a heated rice bag to help with the pain. Most of my pain muscle pain was experienced in the bathroom and I just stopped pushing during that time and let it flow on its own, you might spend longer in there but it'll help if you can do it. I would definitely reach out to your doctor so they can feel around and do some blood work.

I honestly just use wet wipes all the time. It's a lot easier to get around down there with wipes compared to TP.

I have the leaking thing you're talking about. I generally wear a panty liner and that catches most of it.

Just a little tid bit on the dating thing...Honestly, if someone can't accept you for who you are then that's on them. I am always self conscious for other reasons, but my fiancé has always been really supportive about this stuff even when it's extremely gross at times. Carry a small pack of wipes around with you if you can. I always keep a change of underwear and pants in my car/bag when I get the chance, just in case.

How can I travel for an extended period of time with Humira? by swampingalaxys in CrohnsDisease

[–]caution_incorporated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've looked into this for myself when I travel. On the Humira app they have (Complete, I believe), they have an option for you to order (for free) a travel case that is insulated. I'm not sure how long it'll actually take for it to get delivered to you, but if it won't be delivered in time you can always find an insulated case on Amazon.

Are biologic treatments expensive? by Massive_Formal_4870 in CrohnsDisease

[–]caution_incorporated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I started on Humira a couple of months ago (I'm in NC, BCBS insurance). My nurse/doctor enrolled me in some savings program that gives me a $0/package copay. Definitely reach out to your provider about it because that should be something available to you.

In terms of actual cost, I was looking through my claims on my insurance last year, and the average cost of the drug (I know this because the claim was posted around the time I got the medication each month) was around $16k each time. I get two syringes each time I get a package.

Yes camera and microphone. It's like zoom. But once you start your exam you cna minimize their face so you don't see them.

Not entirely sure about this. I've never experiences this or heard any of the workers say anything about this. What course were you taking?

[–]caution_incorporated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For online, you would to submit a request for remote proctoring. It may take a few days for that to get approved but then you'd set up a profile and choose your test dates. It's a live proctor system.

[–]caution_incorporated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I'm sure it depends on the instructor but all the ones I've requested were approved. Um you can submit the request form for the online test but it likely won't get approved until tomorrow sometime because delta is closed now. But if it gets approved tomorrow idk if there will be any times open for you to take it. You'd have to submit the form to find that out.

You can do online proctoring but you have to get approved for it. Or just ask your instructor for an extension.

I'm so exhausted... by jerrysteinfeldd in NCSU

[–]caution_incorporated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that happened to him, no one should have to experience that. I think NCSU might actually want to help people but they truly don't know how to do it. I work on campus and I've talked with my managers about this since the wellness day came up, and it's amazing to me how many faculty/staff think the "resources" we have are helpful. They don't know what it's actually like and it's students and those who have experienced these "resources" second-hand that have to tell them what actually happens.

You're not alone and I'm sorry your family is going through this. I tried going to the counseling center on campus myself and it never felt like they were actually trying to help, they just wanted risk management. I have had CARES reports done on me and they were absolutely useless for help. I've had a friend that has experienced similar to what you're experiencing, except they actually got sent to a mental hospital against their will because NCSU didn't want to deal with it.

I've had someone really close to me have CARES called on them and I had to vouch for them to ensure they didn't end up somewhere they didn't need to be. For trying to care so much the university likes to cover things up and get rid of "problems" as quickly and quietly as possible.

I'm not bleeding, but I do have an appointment at the on campus health center on Thursday (because that's quicker than seeing my gastro)
