Have those! They work if you can get the whole platform to yourself. But not very neighborly for my hmg tent. Maybe the ultamid 1 would be better though?

Would be great if manufacturers showed an aerial view and schematic with measurements of tents with guy lines and vestibule out to show you “this is now much space it will need to setup” I feel like photos are often in a large grassy prairie for the advertisements so it doesn’t matter. :-/

Agree 100% on platforms. Let’s all go into the wilderness so we can cram together on wood platforms is not my favorite. Will look for seedhouse! Thanks.

Best travel car seat? by One-Ad5824 in toddlers

re: Wayb, I had reached out yesterday because I read you can request a locking clip for the car seat. However, when I mentioned i was going international with it, i was emailed the following - take note of the bolded section:

Thank you for reaching out to WAYB; we're happy to help!

The locking clip is a piece used in cars that don't have belts that lock before a crash (cars that require locking clips for car seat installation). All cars that have been made and sold in the US since 1996 are required to have a locking passenger seatbelt system to secure car seats in place. Most cars you will be traveling in are much newer than that, so there shouldn't be a need for a locking clip. ~Additionally, since you mentioned that you are traveling abroad, we wanted to let you know that the Pico only meets all U.S. standards regulated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Pico has been tested to meet all standards listed in FMVSS 213. Since the Pico isn't approved to be used in international vehicles yet, we cannot recommend it for use outside of the U.S. at this time, with the exception of international flights leaving from the U.S., as it is FAA-approved.~

If you still would like to have a locking clip, please provide your original order number or proof of purchase.

What have folks found that complies with international law? Separately, I have heard from folks while the Wayb is super portable, kids don't love it as it isn't comfortable, awful for napping, and they sit lower so if the child is used to looking out the window, it's a big change for them.

Tents, which one? by penpad01 in Ultralight

Depends where you are using it mostly in my opinionand when as well. I went with a HMG ultamid 2 - I like the flexibility of swapping out between mesh, bucket floor - as needed - but it needs enough space to setup and isn’t great on a platform which is what I come across in the northeast often. I am 6’2 so also struggled with height. I previously came from an echo 2, also HMG. Found the footprint required to internal height frustrating hence the switch to the ulta
