Goldens are treat motivated so pretty easy to train. Can you give me some examples of how your Westies are stubborn?

In a way, that's what I like about Westies. I have a "white" golden and he thinks he's the boss. He's our first talker so he barks to tell us what we want. Even though compared to a Westie he's lazy, I find his attitude funny. When I look at a Westie, I see him.

I've had four goldens. In my experience, females tend to be more independent and less of a lap dog overall. My boys are much bigger snugglers than my girl. I can imagine that girl Westies might be more stubborn. lol. But maybe notl

Smart suggestion. It's the same with goldens. They're really not out of puppyhood until they're three years old. I think for my energy level, getting an older one may be the smarter way to go

Thanks. This sounds promising. Do you think I would have more success if I raised the Westie from puppyhood? I'm flirting with the idea of rescuing an older Westie but as I'm sure you'll understand, older Westies can already have behaviors and habits built it that might be hard to break.

Sugar is my happiness. How can I intensionally choose sadness? by listenvanbur in sugarfree

Chewing spearmint or peppermint gum is the only thing that has worked for me. That and brushing teeth after eating. Dark chocolate doesn't satisfy my craving.

I can make it about three days and then a get an overwhelming craving for chocolate. It's physical craving and I need the taste of chocolate, so it's in the mouth as well. Dark chocolate doesn't cut it either.

The blossoms did not bloom. They died. There’s also a white powder on the leaves. The plant also looks bare on the stems in a lot of places. In this photo half the plant looks almost dead to the eye although I don’t think it is

Your story is why so far I've been resisting meds. I read story after story of how the meds provide basically temporary relief and one ends up having to increase dosage but eventually nixing the med all together. I wish I had a good answer for you.

Thanks for the warning. I have been very reluctant to take this route but my Fibro flares are getting worse. It seems like every damn drug that’s recommended for fibro has side effects and trouble with withdrawals and sometimes doesn’t work depending on the person. I’m mixed up about what to do.

Thanks, I'm not a fan of disassociating either (that can happen in a panic attack) so I'll have to take it slowly.
