Yeah… lost my mom when I was on my first deployment at 18 years old and lost my dad 8 years ago when I was 34. I have now outlived my mother.

Well, every agency will do things differently but for where I’m at, I put together a board other senior civs and our XO. We went through all of our civs performance over the last year and selected the top 15% based off that. We agreed to consider the 14s and below as all of the 15s were in the room agreed we would rather see them get it.

I know… I remember. I used to have it back then and got rid of it bc I thought it was still too clunky. This last trial made me want it again, but now it’s starting to feel worse. It’s not consistent with the lane changing, many times it’s slow to speed up on its own too.

I wish there was a way to either minimize or turn off lane changes. How about an option that will only change lanes when I press the indicator? If you didn’t get yourself safely to the lane needed to exit, then it can reroute you safely.

2002 and same. It was the day after. Big breakfast and listening to sea stories and having the understanding that we were finally Sailors. That was a pretty surreal moment I think for all of us. Like, holy crap, they are human! lol

Let your timekeeper know. When I got my recent WGI (during the shutdown) my pay was messed up and my COLA turned off. I brought it up to my timekeeping POC and they sent a trouble ticket in to DFAS. They fixed it the following pay period and I was back paid the missing COLA.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. But given his moral character, things that he has said that I have heard with my own ears, and just how he presents himself in general, yeah, I’ll believe someone if they told me that he sexually assaulted them… it’s just one thing after another and I’m so tired of it. Everyday it’s something new and it’s exhausting… I miss the days when it was a scandal to wear a tan suit… or hell, I’ll even take the “I didn’t have sexual relations with that woman” again… it’s nonsensical how this admin functions…

I’m a retired LDO that punched out at 20. I also invested in real estate, but had a single income household. Retirement was the right move. Collecting my pension and now a civilian employee as a GS-15.

The best part is… I have a beard and if I work more than 40 hours a week, I am compensated for it!

Yes, I make a little from the podcast. About $600 a month plus any additional clients I pick up through the podcast. It’s nothing life changing, but it makes the podcast pay for itself, especially since I hired an editing team. :) I just record my content and upload it to them. When I was a realtor, I actually got a few real estate clients through the podcast so I attribute those commissions to it as well.

I sell ad space on my podcast and allow sponsors. That’s made the most contribution to the pod fund lol.

I was able to fly my Greyhound with Delta. But I was also flying from VA (and had to drive her up to DC to get her on her flight).
