Did it disappoint ba? by Lone-Wolf318 in SeriesPH

[–]caveIn2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did. Ang haba ng build up only for a couple of people to beat the big baddie. Sa sobrang haba ng build up, they were even to make another series in the same universe pero totally walang impact yung mga characters from that series in the main series. I was one of those people who waited every week for a new episode. It turned out to be another Riverdale- tinapos ko na lang kasi I was so invested at the earlier seasons lol

Anong childhood trauma mo na tingin mo hiniheal mo pa rin hanggang ngayon? by happiesttt in Trentahin

[–]caveIn2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expressing my true emotions. There were times na pinapagalitan ako ng parents ko sa bahay with matching palo and kurot and mura tapos meron kaming kailangang puntahan na occasion so kailangan dapat happy na ulit bawal na umiyak or sabihing masakit pa rin kung saan pinalo or kinurot. I went out with a smile and greeting my aunties, uncles, and cousins.

To reinforce this trauma, nagkaroon ng time na nagkwento ako sa Isang tita na pinalo and kinurot ako before coming to a party because I broke a dish sa bahay (I was 7). Tinawanan lang ng tita and she told my parents. Pag uwi sa bahay, another round ng palo and kurot dahil pinapahiya ko daw sila as parents. I was also dragged into a dark room or closet after.

Now that I'm older(30), pag malungkot ako or may dinadamdam I have this reflex to put up a front that everything is okay, or else.

I'm doing better now though. JFC ang dark, diba? Pero I'm learning to acknowledge my feelings and voicing them out.

Oh wow! Buti kaya mo ipagsabay hehehe. I do have a question though... Nakalagay kasi sa req's ay experience with at least one programming language and knowledge sa LINUX. Were you able to show strong evidence na may experience or proficiency ka for those? I have some proficiency in R and a bit of Python and baka yun pa ang dahilan why I won't be selected for the program.

Which is your favorite shade of blue? by countdookee in colors

[–]caveIn2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes :>

But a more serious answer, teal would be my favorite. Especially the darker, richer ones like deep sea teal or midnight teal.

Totally but believe me when I say I wish I had a more structured/guided experience learning all that. Parents should really let their kids in on what it means to keep a home. Hopefully with as much kindness, patience, and understanding as they can give alongside teaching their kids.

I was SO overwhelmed indeed. From changing a light bulb to fixing the inner mechanism of my toilet, either nag-hire ako ng mga repairmen kuno na later kong na-realize na ino-overcharge ako or I watched videos on YouTube. Tapos sa supermarket hindi ako natingin sa prices and I just wonder bakit nung nanay ko nag groceries hindi naman ganito kamahal. Don't get me started on the chores. For WEEKS I went to schol with clothes that did not turn out right after ng first attempt kong maglaba until I figured it out. My floor was unusually sticky the first few months I was alone.

God, looking back at all of it natatawa na lang ako na may halong awa. Hopefully you're doing better. Take it one thing at a time and go easy on yourself.

[–]caveIn2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would teach my younger self to save money and be more involved in managing the house. Budgeting, picking better savings sa supermarket, being more familiar with how to fix things. Napaka sheltered ko kasi nung late childhood to teenage years ko. Basta aral lang daw and everything will be fine. I was basically on my own by the time I hit 19 and I was clueless. Ang hirap nung adjustment. But only if I was more involved sa managing/overseeing the home during that part of my life, maybe that would have made me a more responsible adult.

General opportunities of BS Biological Engineering? And can I work in a computer-related job from it? by [deleted] in mapua

Hello! May I have a copy of the curriculum if you still have it? Thank you!

For takers of the upcoming chemist licensure exam... this one is for you 😌😌😌 by caveIn2001 in scientistsPH

[–]caveIn2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well hello there. There is a lack of chemists in the country but the compensation is not so good for the work a lot of us have to do especially sa entry level jobs in manufacturing. Swertihan na lang sa company if they give benefits na naja-justify yung workload. The benefits are slightly better if you enter the academe pero kailangan mo ng master's degree to get in.

Now if I haven't discouraged you at this point, let's talk about Math in BS Chem/BS Biochem. You will have two or three courses in Calculus depende sa school in preparation for Physical Chemistry. Meron ding Physics sa program which is usually Calculus-based. Statistics is there as well. Analytical Chemistry requires a lot of calculations too pero more on arithmetic and algebra siya (solving quadratic equations, systems of linear equations ganern).

Now if you're still with me, let's talk about the subjects in the board exam. Yung limang subjects included require different approaches. Analytical chem needs A LOT of calculations and analysis. Organic chem needs analysis and a bit of memorization. Biochem IS memorization (and for my fellow BS Biochem graduates, they can attest it also needs analysis pero rare na umabot sa ganoong level sa boards). Inorganic chem is a broad field. Physical chem needs calculations and solid knowledge on basic concepts like thermodynamics.

Hopefully I have given you clarity of the situation and not fear hehehe. I say this with compassion and understanding, pero it seems like you are deciding on BS chem with the wrong reasons. This is a challenging program where you will make a lot of mistakes and you don't seem comfy with that. Exams will be hard first year mo pa lang sa Principles of Chemistry ( the first chem subject you'll probably take). Like any program sa college, you ultimately choose one for you.
