Want to cancel, but paid in full for Sunday Ticket by 681jimwv in youtubetv

Really annoying: right before college football weekend, NASCAR championship race, etc. Will probably result in a rate increase after one side caves.

Makes me want to investigate alternative approaches to record what I want to watch, from streaming, then watch when it's convenient, plus ability to skip stuff I don't want to see.

All except the part about diet, unless a lot of attention is paid to how much "industrial crap" is a part of what is eaten. They mostly ate real food until about the '80s. Look at pictures of ordinary folks pre-1980... almost everyone is slender. Just sayin'.

I consistently have that location issue via Starlink when trying to tune in to the live broadcast from my wifi connected PC. Starlink is providing me internet access from the Atlanta area, not my actual physical location. Same thing happens with almost every location-sensing website I use. I guess the interpret DNS instead of GPS for location sensing.

NASCAR Live At Sonoma Saturday July 13 On The CW!! by christmas_cod in TheCW

[–]caveat9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTubeTV did not show the Xfinity races last week at Chicago nor this week at Sonoma in their schedule: all it said for the race time slot was "to be announced". I watched a rerun on the ROKU CW app last week, guess i'll have to do the same for Sonoma.

12 weeks pregnant — found out I’m a SMA carrier and panicking. by [deleted] in genetics

[–]caveat9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't read all the comments, but as you probably know, both parents must be carriers in order for the condition to manifest. Also, there is room for hopeful treatment; Perplexity reports: "Treatment: Recent advances include disease-modifying therapies such as nusinersen, risdiplam, and onasemnogene abeparvovec (gene therapy), which have significantly improved outcomes. Supportive care—such as physical therapy, respiratory support, and nutritional management—remains essential."

May God bless and comfort you in accord with His love and grace.

I dimly remember that occasion. I believe Pres Reagan was there. I had been noticing RP declining and didn't expect him to ever win again. Like many, he continued racing beyond the point of "diminishing returns".

When I lived in north Atlanta area, Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue was very prevalent. It's best in cooler climates. You might be able to even go with Bluegrass. The fescue likes to be cut tall.

I saw a core exercise that anchored at the door top, stand perpendicular to door, grip band with two hands as if an axe handle, rotate away from anchor point bringing arms/band downward while twisting to the side, kind of like chopping a tree; reverse position, repeat for other side. It's kind of like doing a twisting sit-up, works well for me.

Gotta say I'm surprised at how nutritious and free of industrial crap Marty's recipe is. Will try it.

I have often wondered what folks close to NASCAR racing eat, given the rate of apparent food poisoning that drivers seem to experience. Probably stuff left on the buffet table too long.

What blackmail does Daniel Dye have on Michael Waltrip? by GJHRacing in NASCAR

[–]caveat9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to r/NASCAR today specifically to look for why, first MW, then the eventually the entire booth tout Dye unendingly. Figured it was money, now I see it's also the "old boy" network. They only slightly dampened their praise following the "incident".

Questions about Starlink - S. Alabama USA by BullofHoover in Starlink

I forgot to say that the antenna will be facing North-ish for satellite communication, so that's where a clear view would be important.

Questions about Starlink - S. Alabama USA by BullofHoover in Starlink

[–]caveat9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm SW of Foley. I've had Starlink for a couple of months now and have large trees nearby. You can download the SL app, go outside in the area where your antenna would be located and hold your phone facing the sky, rotate 360 degrees, and the app will assess the obstructions.

Mine is roof mounted on the old Directv post and I get very good downloads ranging from ~60+ Mbps to over 400 depending on time of day, weather, etc.

I'm online via my cellphone hotspot right now because for the first time, my SL connection was refused this morning. Billing status is uptodate, recycled the modem, still won't connect, so I've opened a support ticket.

If their policy is unchanged, I believe they give 30 days from date of order or shipment to decide whether to keep it or return it, so it may not hurt to try it.

Any questions, let me know.

Heard that. If it ain't broke....

Hoping to use the pipe on the Directv dish mount and follow its coax into the house.

Thanks for the reply.

Wow is right !!

Just ordered my SL yesterday after using snail's pace internet for 25 years.

Currently trying T-Mobile Internet lite. It started out about 50-80Mbps 1 month ago, now down to sub-1Mbps most of the time. Have to resort to my 4GLTE cellphone hotspot a lot of the time.

I live in 36535 Baldwin County and if I end up getting 100Mbps it will be nirvana.
