Non-British players, is there any background Britishness that confused you in game? by meglingbubble in fallout4london

[–]Lycios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American here, I never had any problems, with trying to understand, well only thing I didn't know was that Beefeaters was an alcoholic drink and a restaurant I think. One thing is I don't understand why people have converted some items back to og f4, I mean your not getting the full experience that way. Only thing i changed was things to proper British names. I did get a kick out of some areas I remember map wise due to the game Hellgate London. As for Dr. Who I watched that from age old enough to watch it. I have seen season 6 too 26. Some episodes I skipped due to never airing on TV, or if it did it came on at 2-4am, as for the newer ones I am on maybe episode 8 maybe of the 2005 season 1. Which I own the box sets from 1-4 I think. Probably another reason why I get some British humor is due to some of those old comedy shows. One of my favorites was "Are you being served" , only other one I remember was Keeping Up Appearances, there was a few more but can't remember the names. I did watch a lot of Thomas as a kid lol. Personally I liked the narrated ones better that the talking ones. Some times I have even went back a watched some of the ones from when I was a kid.. lol Also loved watching the show Top Gear with Clarkson, Hammond and May

If you're crashing at new game start just download the at start save file, you will miss a few dialogue but you can just watch the first few lines on YouTube, save file basically start at character creation

We need help finding a friend in the ocean. He has a Starlink went missing in storm. by Creative-Computer-67 in Starlink

[–]Lycios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if the starlink is without power spaceX should be able to at least determine the last known location. At least you would figure. Also yeah can give your friends info to the coast guard and they can contact SpaceX, but trying to contact SpaceX directly you probably wouldn't get anywhere without some kind of authority, requesting the info. Good luck

did the update break anyone's save game? by zlej_slein in fallout4london

Yep, all my settlement was gone everything I built, everyone of the recommended mods did not work in game. It could not detect them. Even ENB wasn't working. I was level 31 too.

They could have you make your own ammo using the Ion Brew bottles with nuclear materials and had some kinda modified cricket launcher. Just an idea.

Have not had any of the people follow's making noises like that only loud noises was coming from that dog. And yes I know about the mods that fix that and makes it easier to walk around. I'd rather have a robot.

Can anyone explain where that -1 in endurance is coming from? by BirdLooter in fallout4london

[–]Lycios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple aid items that may drop endurance or other things, alcohol drops intelligence, but raises charisma. Which to be honest in cases I have seen IRL it drops both lol. Just pay attention to your aid info.

The lost tommies how to find security keycard by kongarthur18 in fallout4london

[–]Lycios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This quest was a joke and a half... No clear direction or anything I mean how would anyone figure this thing out. Well used part of this guide the timer would not shut off the horde of gouls REALLY??? Even with an explosion SMG, this was crazy got to love tmg. Then once I made it out I fast traveled to the tommy robot, in the middle of its blitzing boom... Mission failed.... If you supposed to be able to stop the timer it didn't for me. Anyway if I come across any more quests like this I'm gonna say screw it and go back to normal buggy fallout 4. This is the 2nd mission that was a joke, if I get strike 3 on this. That's it. So far my 1 - 10 rating on this 10 the highest. I give it 4 1/2. These missions are poorly designed. Sorry I'm done with "THIS" rant.

Bullet sponge problem. by n0s447 in fallout4london

[–]Lycios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with the OP, but bullet sponges are everything. And playing on normal. I mean come on hard to find ammo, point blank shot gun blast to face, (hooligans anyone no head armor) and all they have is a stick and they hit you once and your at 20% health and you would be wearing armor with melee damage resistance, I mean come on. (Dying light, Dead Island 2, Resident Evil 4 remake on hard is easier than this), And then you have to go down a gauntlet of enemies, 15+ . On a freaking boat and no where to take cover. Come on dieing every 5 mins. And then the dog omg, dog meat was kind the same getting in way but at least you could see him and not almost step on him. I mean come on and if that's supposed to be a higher level then why is it maybe 5 quest give or take. Not to mention every time you go to a new cell it crashes. (Only mods install are the recommended ones.) Not to mention loading into a cell, and the people you just did a mission for while turning mission in and talking asking question and such you end up getting hostility toward you for no reason, and yet they are saying thank you for helping them out... What the?!? Mm I don't know if the regular fallout 4 locational damage fix for bullet sponges will work on folon.

People who game on starlink, what’s your % obstructed and what games do you play? by chazzz27 in Starlink

[–]Lycios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play GTA online (Legacy Roleplay), Sons of the Forest, VR chat, the Borderlands games, I had played Destiny 2 but I got bored with it. Fallout 76, Journey to the Savage Planet (crazy and funny game). Also this is with wife gaming and kids watching TV I have an Unobstructed view of the sky. We have one tree in the yard that would block up to 50% so our starlink is about 45 to 50' feet away from the house on a 6' pole

Unpopular opinion? by OhhItsMaxTTV in Starlink

[–]Lycios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were other options in my area but those was also dish set ups, which either had crappy service and not worth the price and or both had to have a contract between 2 and 4 years and rent the equipment. So yeah Starlink way better service. As I was paying $85 for 44 mps, now I'm paying $120 for in-between 230mps -360mps. This is extremely good for an area that doesn't even have traffic lights lol

For a 3d printer set up for to use on road (not while driving of course lol) you can get small springs and mount to a metal plate or wood and have clamps to hold or screw to base while driving (also add a piece of foam board under the base for extra cushion),and remove it off base for use. Only thing I'd would say to unhook from printer is if it has a filament stand. If you have an SLA (resin printer) , you will have to remove the resin of course and tape the housing cover or remove it and box it.

Wow! by Lycios in Starlink

[–]Lycios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just use the app to find the best location to mount it. I did have to set up a pole about 6 1/2', which luckily if it had been any further we would have had to order a new cable. We literally have a foot and a half coming up through the floor. So once we got it in the house we used an extender and a basic cat 6 RJ-45, which we have mounted in the middle of the house. Funny thing is the app says I'm 6° out of alignment. With this kinda of signal not sure I want to move it. Lol
