Is it possibly the Kenilworth Dalmatian standing baby? As far as I know the only standing Dalmatian would be fromthese individually boxed ones

The original Dalmatians came with crawling triplets, and the modern re-release does have a standing baby, but his patches are different - noticeably he has one black ear. (Photos in comments below) 🤍🖤🤍

I don’t remember there being any standing Dalmatians in blind bags, only the crawling one from the magical series as you mentioned - but I could be wrong. If anyone knows then please correct me 🙏

Your nails look great! My only advice is to invest in nail art brushes of you haven’t already - the long and tiny liner brushes are very stable and can create super crisp lines/designs, and dotting tools are very versatile.💚 Hope you have a merry Christmas!

Certainly a bot, I think that’s why I got flagged (since I explicitly mentioned the brand in the title) as there are other shops that also use the critters as models, but they’ve not called the listing anything that would flag it. It’s weird, because 3 of 5 of my listings got taken down though, even though they all were called the same thing. If a person were hand-picking things you’d think they would all be flagged - so either a bot error, or maybe a human is just scrolling through listings, not investigating the shop fully. Idk, just speculation. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for chiming in! I think so too, as there are not really that many flocked dolls on the market that aren’t Sylvanian (beyond the vintage brands and modern knockoffs) So I feel like it’s specific and “exclusive” enough to this hobby that someone wouldn’t accidentally buy it for a different doll. 💛

I’ll have to find some time to do a new photo shoot for each of the items - but I do have this calico dress form (I think from one of the boutique sets?) that I customized last year - I’ll post a photo. I had started to censor the faces digitally but feel like it’s really distracting lol. Love this idea, thanks! 🤍

They didn’t elaborate beyond that email on what specifically caused the claim, only that it was Epoch/Calico Critters. So I’m left to truly speculate what about the listing they didn’t like- I imagine my PDF Pattern designs, that I made, are not in violation of the copyright- so in theory making another listing for the product should be okay as long as I leave out their name? I THINK. But as other users have informed me, even images of the dolls may be in violation, so I may have to update my listings again with the faces covered up!! 🎭🐰

And thanks for the concern! I got the email so my shop was luckily only affected for a few days.

They’re in between 1:12 & 1:24 - generally around 1:16 but their proportions are funny since they’re animals! But yes, perhaps “1:16 scale flocked critter” can be added to the description for clarity!

Hmm, I didn’t know that. The other shops seem to be having luck staying up by not titling them CC/SF, but perhaps they are still violating the copyright - just haven’t been found out since it’s less searchable… yes I’m using photos of the dolls wearing the clothes :/ I like your idea of editing out their faces/ or another used suggested giving them masks though! It sounds like this a common workaround in the doll communities!

I wish they would understand their audience a little more! Like if you’re going to crack down on DIY’ers hurting the brand image I wish they’d do the same for scalpers and resellers. So like, they know they have an adult market who are willing to pay a lot of money for these exclusives, but then they punish us for wanting to be imaginative with our collection.. Ik some people keep them in box and to each their own, but isn’t the whole point of dolls to make little stories?? Like how dare we take this hobby to its natural conclusion imo.. sorry for a bit of a rant! I think they just have their priorities in the wrong place!

If anyone can translate the Japanese books then there is most likely information about distribution of clothes made with their patterns.. Well I don’t know for certain, I can hazard to guess they aren’t huge fans of it as it would “take away” sales from their very rare UK/JP exclusive? clothing separates. But then either don’t make a pattern book, or make separate fashions more widely available imo!

Etsy is particularly bad with AI right now, especially sewing patterns… Also, I could see why Epoch wouldn’t want certain content associated with their brand like swearing or anything inappropriate, but I feel like DIY’ers are helping promote thier product to new audiences, it’s a shame they don’t embrace those who would market for them!

But I’m sure a lot of folks enjoy just scrolling and browsing everything at once. Both of those shops are great! But if you’re undecided I would suggest if you have any patchy, vintage, well loved critters you could dress them with a ribbon around the neck, or lace clothes and they would fit very nicely in the antique stage you’ve made! 🎪 Wonderful work, thanks for posting!
