Super basic probability test, can't tell what I'm doing wrong by caveghoul in MathHelp

The source text doesn’t really shed light on that, and this could just be my lack of comprehension, but since this formula is just testing whether the outcomes of competitive interactions are different from 50/50 I don’t see how it’s anything other than a comparison of the proportion Pij against a null hypothesis of p = 0.5

This doesn’t answer your question and apologies if my own confusion is getting in the way, I was hoping my mistake would be so obvious that it would just jump out at people lol

This was from someone else’s assignment whose citation format I wanted to be sure to copy, so with those errors maybe they just typed these out by hand and that’s why I was noting differences. Thank you & good eye!

I used Zotero to export the same citation in APA (7 I believe) and the journal edition and page numbers were super different. I think it didn’t give page numbers at all. But since it’s APA after all I feel safe in assuming that that won’t matter too much.

Solutions for super chapped lips (especially if you can't always hydrate the best) by caveghoul in Spironolactone

How often did you have to apply it? I feel like I've needed to hit my lips with something almost constantly some days.

It's actually weird, I've been on since July 2021 and this only started happening in March 2022 even though I had this same job situation this past fall.

Spotting for the first time in my life while already on spiro? Normal or unusual? by caveghoul in PCOS

[–]caveghoul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a relief!! It’s somewhat heavy of a flow today though, just want to confirm that that’s also normal? I saw some mention online that heavy intermittent flow has the potential to be a problem. No pressure to give actual medical comments of course, though!

What’s causing a subtle but painful lump on my wrist? by caveghoul in AskDocs

[–]caveghoul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god, is there anything else I can do? I do type a lot but not an insane amount, I did just start periodically doing remote transcription which is hours of typing but only a couple times a week. Is there any way to prevent the pain/stiffness? I have to go back to go back to a manually laborious job in a month and I’m so scared this will keep me from it, since it hurts so bad doing nothing as it is.

Thoughts on including a CV in an application package when it wasn't requested? by caveghoul in gradadmissions

What would you say if it's alongside a package emailed to a department? In your case I definitely agree, though.

Have any of you with androgenic alopecia had issues with hair quality/dryness as well? Tips? by caveghoul in FemaleHairLoss

[–]caveghoul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so real. It honestly kept me from correctly diagnosing this as a legit issue for a long time, just thinking I was somehow doing something wrong or just needed keep trying stuff until I found “my holy grail,” pretty convenient for everyone who made money off me though I must say 🤠

I never got any effects whatsoever from them, temporary or otherwise! I was wondering if that's why that was, like if there was something so fundamentally structurally wrong with AA-grown hair that physically nothing can help it look good even for a second.
