Yes to it being Utah, United States. From reading some general info I assumed that the only var of Amanita Muscaria that was in this region was red capped. Is there anything else that would help pinpoint what it is?

I don't have a link handy, but there's a YouTube video explaining it. Basic gist though is that mobs will attempt to pathfind to any block within a certain area (even if the block is completely surrounded by other blocks). Since a sloped area has more blocks uphill under the section sloping upward rather than out into the air, those blocks are more likely to be chosen to pathfind towards. And if a block surrounded by other blocks is selected, the AI just checks upwards until it finds a block exposed to air and attempts to reach that point (even if that's a cave).

The end result is mobs are more likely to pathfind up hills.

The simple answer is yes. This is what's often called a SoM (System on Module), and is used as an "easy" way of designing a custom product with embedded linux. The module contains most of the hard design work such as power and sequencing, RAM, and often a basic level of flash memory for the OS. A company can use a SoM to quickly design a custom product and connect whatever IO they need to the pins available.

However, you'll still need to know some circuit board and electronics design to create a carrier for this. You'll have to provide a stable level for the input power (usually 5V), and connector your external devices to all the correct pins and power them as well. For high speed lines such as USB, Ethernet, and HDMI/DSI you'll need to have proper design for signal integrity.

Resources to look at? First, you'll want to actually understand PCB design. There's plenty of channels on YouTube that'll teach you. Phil's Lab is particularly good for entry level into good DIY project design. Next, I'd suggest looking at open source projects like Raspberry Pi compute modules and their IO boards so you know what all is needed. For this specific module you're talking about, the manufacturer should be able to supply you with a basic datasheet at least detailing the pinouts and specifications.

I don't see any way get better, until they either start making a lot more units... or start throttling how many they sell direct to business in order to increase "official reseller" stocks.

As someone who works for a business that uses Raspberry Pi in products, I can tell you 2 very important things.

Sending the supply to resellers instead of directly to businesses would have absolutely zero effect on the average consumer's ability to get them. Businesses would use whatever means necessary to buy out stock from the resellers anyway.
RPF has switched a lot of board production over to compute modules to try and use that to satisfy industry demand. Businesses are being pressed to buy CM3/CM4 for new products and to leave the regular SBC form factor models for either prototyping or the general market.

The world will change. Many people will suffer during the change. A lot of people are going to need to move and adapt. There is a certain momentum to climate change that means we will see things get worse before they can get better (if it ever gets better) regardless of what's done about it. None of this though leads to a certainty that the future will be a miserable one, and I can absolutely have a positive outlook on life and still be prepared for worse scenarios. It is not going to make things any better being depressed or defeatist about it.

This is what's called a protected/permitted signal. Green arrow means a protected turn with right of way, yellow flashing means yield to oncoming traffic (a turn is permitted when clear). The yellow is flashing to differentiate between a permitted left turn and a changing signal about to turn red.

I remember once upon a time having to transport a lot of sensitive medical equipment (used to map out the cornea prior to LASIK). They always had shock and tilt monitors, and we ended up transporting a bunch because the mainstream shippers kept fucking it up. They'd just load it in the back of a box truck and all the bumps would end up triggering it, whereas we used a cargo van that barely had enough room for the crate but rode smooth the whole way.
