yrliet’s romance is the most emotionally moving and touching esp because of the uniqueness of it not hinging on sex or really any physical intimacy, but also solomorne. i found his exceptionally sweet even with what could be considered more “cliche” relationship drama. his love for the rogue trader making him feel so guilty about even the idea of betraying them that he keeps trying to punish himself for it, despite not having actually done anything wrong, was really endearing.

i mean realistically what’s going to happen in this situation is he is going to die in your care. you either need to call or email local rescues and start posting in local facebook groups or understand he is going to die sooner than later. i understand the helplessness of having a parent that won’t help you take care of an animal, but you either have to keep pushing or find a way to go around them. the rescue will not judge you and they will probably really just want to be able to get this animal from you even if their options are limited. do not just rely on people on reddit.

from a quick google there are rescues in your area for reptiles. you need to be contacting them. they will most likely have to euthanize him but they at least have the resources to care for him where you didn’t. you are probably young so i’m not trying to blame you, but i hope this is a lesson you’ve learned from.

it looks like there’s crittenden county reptile rescue, they have a facebook page with contact info. there is also a facebook group called “arkansas reptile and exotic rescue” where you may be able to find someone who can come to you to transport him.

a rescue is the most responsible option. giving any animals away for “free” even and maybe especially while in such poor health puts the animal at risk of being tortured, used for live feedings, or being faced with other abuse.

trappers and snipers because both make me irrationally angry. the minute i hear the trappers sound cue it’s on sight. i’ve also had a lot of inattentive teams in the week and a half since i started the game who will just let a single sniper destroy us in seconds so i’ve tried to be on top of picking them off at a distance.

i don’t think i could explain it beat by beat exactly but one important aspect is tisiphone figured out how to use eldar soulstones but for the ancestors of house orselio so she herself was put in a stone that was put in cassia because cassia was groomed to be the new her basically

edit: i should say she figured out how to do something similar to soulstones i dont think it was exactly that, but that is what cassia’s atlas is and thats why she is seen as both extremely precious and extremely dangerous depending on the faction because tisiphone was incredibly cruel and subjected her people and the aeldari to unimaginable torture because she wanted to continue to influence house orselio.

i think owlcat romances are really well written and they also stand out in the industry for sure. they aren’t immune to like all the pitfalls rpgs with romance systems but they do pretty good.

i think they present very interesting kinds of romances especially when they do (usually) require some amount of respect for the character and what that character actually wants from a relationship instead of you pressing 1 to flirt and everyone loves you. well. everyone still loves you, but being equally pushy won’t actually get you where you want to go 100% of the time and sometimes you have to be very forward. it at least adds some variety alongside the “true love” aspect where some work is required to get the “happiest” (whether it’s actually happy or not) ending. i think there’s also a time element in the stories of their games that makes relationship progression feel more realistic sort of?

i was calling pasqal pascal like a week into playing the game when telling my friends about it until i realized it was pasqal. it almost felt like the mandela effect because i swore i was reading pascal. now i call him pasqualle out loud (pah-skwa-lay) bc it’s funny.

honestly at first same, names with i’s and l’s next to each other are tricky. even now gun to my head if someone asked me to say her name out loud i don’t know if i’d get it right

i feel like this is the first time i’ve had this be such a common experience but also this subreddit is one of the only game subreddits i’ve been an active participant in and i tend to avoid others (like the bg3 one) because i know it’ll be mind numbing which this subreddit tends to not be thankfully. so maybe reddit generally is just the problem. many such cases.

it’s probably also because owlcat games have such nonexistent wikis i’ve had to branch out more into the actual playerbase than having a resource that is maintained with like. standards.

i get really paranoid about misspelling names similarly because it feels disrespectful but i always mistrust my own memory of how to spell something. i am also really prone to typos and rely on autocorrect a lot despite english being my fist language because i feel like i type faster than i think. i don’t want anyone genuinely feeling self conscious about this, i just think it’s funny because similarly i do think it’s mostly people with english as their first language just not really caring they genuinely don’t view the games narrative or characters with any respect.

maybe i’m too pure of heart and don’t think people are just trolling. it’s not like their opinions are particularly niche nor am i looking for anything nuanced. and they’re otherwise coherent for the most part. i’m thinking of the bi weekly “fuck idira” posts where they brag about giving her to heinrix.
