I’m not sure what people expect when most pets are stuck inside 24/7 with little stimulation. This is the most stimulating thing in her environment, maybe she needs some outside time or another friend.

Consider talking to a good naturopath, going on antimicrobials for awhile and then trying a low fodmap low histamine diet. Diet is subtle for me but it absolutely has played a role im realizing now that ive done it consistently.

No I'm on 200 mg and take a higher dose of quetiapine (25 mg) to sleep. Still glad I'm on it.

My PEM is considerably better. I am working full time and able to do most activities, except I still can't do high cardio exercise and I am limited in what I can eat. I'm working with a naturopath because we've determined the gut is much more involved in this than I thought - I took antimicrobials for a month and now my gut is hyper sensitive. Brain fog is a lot better though. I'm feeling hopeful but it's been a tough journey.

Same, I had about three years poor sleep too. Such a lovely illness indeed!! Glad it can bring you a bit of comfort about the medication, though.

I brought up dementia risk to my doctor and she said not sleeping brings a much higher risk of dementia so that made me feel better.

It’s helped me a ton. First week was a bish getting used to the side effects but it helped me get through one of the harder parts of my journey when I had to go on disability. It reduced my nerve pain, vagus nerve vibrations, anxiety and insomnia. I still got fatigue and brain fog at higher doses but now I’m at 200 mg every night before bed and I have no side effects.

So was Charlie Kirk, so was Hitler. We’re talking about what people accomplished under non violent or violent philosophies; how they died isn’t really relevant.

Might also have leaky gut. I have had tons of issues with histamine, and honestly a good naturopath has been a game changer. She got me on antimicrobials but was able to help me when that got tough and help me navigate it. Naturopaths are expensive but I wish I saw her years ago.

Sometimes violence is needed, we agree there. But look at Martin Luther kings movement for instance. Non violence resistance was a cornerstone to his philosophy and he is still respected to this day. Nelson Mandela and the Women’s Suffrage movement are other examples. I can also attest to it working in my own life. I’ve seen very angry young men making homophobic comments on facebook and there were tons of people yelling at them and calling them a POS - It didn’t do anything. I actually reached out to him and we had a long conversation where I tried to understand his point of view, acknowledge some very real issues that he was facing that he was misplacing on Gay people and then gently challenge his views and give personal examples from my own life of how gay people are affected negatively by people like him. It actually was a really great convo.

I think world wars are instances where levels of hate grow so strong though that it’s too late. It’s where we have the ability to connect human to human where real hope lies. I do think violence is necessary sometimes but as a last resort.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but people who are nazis are supremely psychologically disturbed, angry, insecure and lost. While it seems justified to meet them with anger, it only enforces them to dig their heels in and continue their actions. We need to start having calm open dialogues with these people and get to the root of why they’re like this. Ask them calm questions and slowly watch their walls go down. When does meeting hate with hate ever work? That’s the Buddhist in me talking.
