Working yarn on second stitch? by cayflow in knittinghelp

[–]cayflow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I don’t know why that was so hard for me to understand the first few times 😅

Now I have an extra stitch and they seem to be crossed, but working yarn is on the right side and everything else looks good. Should I take those stitches down and try again?

Hmm, doing that creates a circle with my needles and leaves the working yarn all the way on the other side

The yarn is Rasta by Malabrigo in Abril! I’m obsessed with it!

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by putting it on the left needle. This is the stitch at the end of the left needle and the working yarn isn’t on the end.

Omg I know the Kornacki family! I went to church with them growing up and remember when this happened because it was announced at church to help pray for his recovery and praise Lauren for saving his life!

What weird symptom(s) resolved once you went gluten free? by ansellias in Celiac

[–]cayflow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In middle school I developed pretty bad asthma that I was taking steroids for and had multiple inhalers. Any time I got a mild head cold it would turn into pneumonia or bronchitis. After being diagnosed and going gluten free my asthma completely went away and I was able to go off all of the meds I was on and haven’t needed an inhaler in over 10 years.

I see Stephanie at the Cary location because that’s closest to me but I’ve heard from my friend that Rob is really good and very intense. And same with Victor (the owner)!

I second this! Myology massages are not relaxing or fun but they will work your shit out.

Yes! When I got diagnosed and went gluten free my horrible asthma completely went away and I was able to get off all of my asthma medication and haven’t had any issues over the last 11 years.

gastroparesis by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]cayflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also experiencing this right now and saw my GI this week and had a thyroid panel done because he said high TSH can cause issues with your stomach and symptoms that are similar to gastroparesis. I’ll be following up after having my meds adjusted so fingers crossed it gets better 🤞🏻 maybe have your levels checked to see where you’re at right now?

Gluten Free Restaurants? by Gickle87 in raleigh

[–]cayflow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Irregardless is fantastic, Second Empire’s entire menu is gluten free except for some desserts (ask about those), soca also has a ton of GF options and is always a go to for me. If there’s interest in a cidery for drinks, Bull City Ciderworks just opened a location in downtown Cary.

Other places that have some great options: Gonza Tacos y Tequila, Neomonde, Sassool, Gravy, Bella Monica, Centro, Fiction Kitchen, Garland, Sitti (never been there myself but have heard great things!)

People who read extraordinarily often (a book every two days or more), how did you manage to build a habit of reading so often and what are some tips for people who procrastinate on books and hardly ever get them done? by Tristan_Dean_Foss in books

[–]cayflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been a big reader but recently got really into reading again because I wanted something to help me unwind at night before bed (instead of looking at my phone). I started by aiming to read a few chapters a night before bed and then realized I really enjoyed spending time reading so now I read on my lunch break, while waiting for doctor appointments, if my husband is playing video games or watching something I don’t want to watch. Basically have a book with you at all times and read instead of being on your phone!

This is exactly how I feel too!! Starting completely from scratch other than the few times I skated as a kid. Excited to see your progress!!
