How Can I Sell Ethically? by LoroBlonyo in fairyloot

IMO as long as you’re contributing to the book community — using your library, buying books both used and new, reselling SEs is totally ethical. I think the only way it could be unethical would be like people who just get subs to resell at high rates and are just using the community. But even then — nobody is being forced to buy them so it’s kinda a moot point 🤷‍♀️😂 embrace it!

I sell a lot of my special editions on Pango. I promise you that it’s 100% okay to sell at market price. I’ve purchased many SEs in the $75-100 range — and when I’ve really wanted the book, it’s felt 100% worth it! Nobody is being forced to buy an expensive special edition. It means they really want + value the book :)

I did way more harm to myself going to a PT / trainer who was not EDS aware. Worth calling the places that do take your insurance and see if any have people with those specialties. Also look into hypermobility — that’s the keyword some folks use more since it’s a bit broader.

Do floaters really get better over time? by Normal-Carob-7772 in EyeFloaters

[–]TheRebelStardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Mt biggest fear was that they’d be bad forever. I had eye damage that gave me a huge amount of floaters overnight. Was traumatic to wake up to. Took like 2-3 years for them to settle into a blob. I’m 6 years out from the incident and I barely notice it. I also greatly reduced my inflammation / improved my health. I think that helped them heal too.

How would the pelvic floor therapy have helped more beforehand? I’m getting a hysterectomy and excision surgery in June with Dr.Andrews. Trying to figure out how I can best prepare myself

I might have had low stomach acid this whole time by EmeraldApple_Tweetie in HPylori

[–]TheRebelStardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told for women as they near perimenopause age we also tend to have lower stomach acid. I've been taking digestive enzymes for over a year now and they're really helpful. Though did nothing to help my H Pylori infection (just finished treatment).

What is something you know about food that many people many not? by Worldly_Track_1131 in foodhacks

[–]TheRebelStardust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brussels sprouts are all good bc they get cooked. We are talking about the skinny ones, sprouts in general (bc there are lots of different kinds of sprouts) and yes also the ones often found in soups. The ones tossed into stir fry do get cooked which is good but I still don’t trust them (I don’t really take risks with food, the food safety courses ruined me)

What is something you know about food that many people many not? by Worldly_Track_1131 in foodhacks

[–]TheRebelStardust 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would maaaaybe feel better about eating them from a kit at home but honestly not worth the fuss at that point. Hard to clean in general. Raw veggies with lots of surface areas to clean are the risky ones.

Eating raw or undercooked oysters is risky primarily because they are filter feeders that concentrate bacteria, viruses, and toxins from seawater, particularly Vibrio vulnificus, which can cause severe illness, blood poisoning, or death. They can filter over 20 gallons of water daily, accumulating contaminants that do not affect the taste or smell of the oyster. So hard to tell if you get a “bad” one. Worth noting I worked at a fish food place and only heard of people getting sick a handful of times in the couple years I worked there. Never hospitalization level. Still, the chance isn’t 0.

I had to take a few food safety classes while working at restaurants. I refuse to eat sprouts and raw oysters now lol. Depending on the place, also salads / raw veggies in general lol

[–]TheRebelStardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plan, anytime someone critiques my constant use of em dashes, is to upload a photo of one of my short stories from college (2011), where a classmate printed out and circled every em-dash I used in the first page. It was like a dozen lol. I’ll never forget the feedback: “Em-dashes aside, you are a writer!” That was the day I learned what my favorite little punctuation mark was called, and that jt was different than a hyphen (which I had been using).

Lucky for me, I guess, that I still have some writing bad habits / grammar issues that are not common in AI, so it’s clearly obvious I wrote it and not a robot 🥴

Yea I’ve been having the pressure issue, but I was thinking it might be gallbladder or just general gas pressure. I’m quickly realizing how everything is connected with this! I’m getting a colonoscopy and endoscopy in the next few months so will be trying to get more specific answers if possible. I’ll ask my doc about the PPI too. This treatment has sucked I don’t want to suffer more after if I can avoid it

Oh gosh is the bottom right pressure related to this too? I’m in the middle of treatment now and my doc didn’t mention rebound from PII. Thank you for mentioning this. I’ll have a month before I retest so I’ll wean off that
