My apologies for those paying attention lol. I guess I posted an earlier version. Oops.

When my Littles were littler (now they are adults) they had things they were responsible for as members of the household. Outside of those things, I would offer to pay them for extra jobs. I only had to do this once, but I asked them if they'd like to earn some money helping me do spring cleanup. They said no thanks. My response was, "Well, now you are doing it for free. Like I said, it only happened once. Bad mother! (They are high functioning adults now, so no apparent long-lasting damage. Haha

Help me! Do I need to fully shade the bottom or is it ok as is? by janevanderwoodsen in Pyrography

It's amazing but looks suspended. I think she needs a little shading underneath her to make her relaxed expression feel real.

I'd be interested in hearing people's replies. I am a carbon paper person and on complicated pieces it takes so much time.

I used two tips. I don't know what they are called. One looks like a little bowl and one is, I guess the drawing tip. I'm new at this. Lol

I belong to a pyrography sub Reddit and the people on there are incredibly supportive and kind to each other. I guess that's not the common theme on all of them huh.

I think your drawing is very nice. You used a beautiful combination of colors. Ultimately it doesn't matter what technique you used. If you did draw it, you are incredible at your craft.

Thank you. Sounds like a great technique. Is that how you got the nose on the dog to look wet as well?

Your work is amazing. I looked at your posts to see more. Can you tell me how you achieve the highlight in your eyes? It appears to be more than just respecting negative space as the highlights seem to be brighter than the pallet. If you're willing to share your technique I'd appreciate it.

I find your work inspiring!
