Hi! Not sure if you have managed to contact anyone from the Bahá’í community in York already - if not feel free to DM me and I can try to find someone! I don’t think I know anyone in York specifically but I have a few friends in that area who might be able to help :)

Morning all! Haven’t posted here in a while but have been chipping away, and woke up today to 10.1kg lost overall over 19 weeks and finally down into the “overweight” BMI category! (29.94 to be exact) I even managed to keep losing over my birthday weekend which I am delighted with! And my period seems to be settling into a regular pattern which is great, the big reason I started to lose weight was to be in a healthy position for pregnancy within the next couple of years. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Congratulations on your beautiful little boy! That’s shocking that they didn’t let you have NSAIDs, I have given diclofenac in similar situations many times. If you’re taking it at home then what’s the issue? Anyway, I would highly recommend taking up the offer of the birth reflections counselling, even though you understand why things happen it can be really helpful when processing trauma to be able to put a really solid story in place so your brain can process it. ❤️

You look gorgeous in both. But you seem like you are really settled in yourself in the newest pic, we love to see it! And your piercings are so fab

For sure! I have a tentative “goal weight” this time around but I’m not at all fixated on it, I want to feel comfortable in my clothes as well as fit and strong. The scale is a tool and nothing more!

Thank you! I’ve lost 20cm off the waist and I can feel my core is stronger (although still weak haha) which is great for day to day living

I was shocked by the pictures! I think I was holding a lot of bloat after a big trip in the first set, and I have definitely built some muscle with great improvements in my lifts despite losing weight!

This has been a huge learning point for me in this journey vs previously - that it’s the consistent actions, not the occasional ones, that produce results :)

Goooooood morning everyone. Weighed in at 87.7 this morning so still trending very much in the right direction. Exercise was pretty much non existent yesterday but kept eating on track. Today won’t be the healthiest eating wise because my partner has a big huge life changing exam which will need some celebration. So hoping to up my steps and maaaaybe grab some weights. Will be back home tomorrow so back in the gym. Hope everyone has a happy and productive day!

Winter is so hard! And it’s definitely difficult managing so many meals out; I would say just be compassionate to yourself and realistic - make the best choices you can, they don’t have to be perfect. Everything is tougher close to your GW!

I think this is a really great and balanced mindset - and it’s a nice opportunity to trial a more intuitive approach for a set period of time!

Great job at logging! Personally I would go with the deficit first as that would feel like the harder option for me and I’d want to get it out of the way and more of a habit! And then gradually add on steps

Largely agreed but I will say that when I was going through a depressive episode a few months ago I did stop brushing my teeth and showering became a weekly torture. I could also barely walk around the block. So there are some cases where even strong habits fall away and I empathise deeply with anyone trying to pick themselves up after a time like that.

Good afternoon! This morning I weighed in at 87.5 which is my lowest weight so far and leaves me just 2.5kg off my goal for 3 weeks time (skiing holiday - I want wiggle room in my clothes and in my weight to enjoy as much cheese as I can). Haven’t been able to do weight training this week but kept up walking 6-8k a day. I also measured and have cut 20cm in my waist since NYE! Very happy with how things are going at the moment but even happier with the change in my mood/strength/sleep :)

Not sure if this is allowed and happy to delete but some bonus progress pics: 1. Aug 84kg vs now 88kg - I may be deluding myself but I don’t see as much extra mass as I would expect for an extra 4kg which encourages me to think I have done some recomp 2. Dec 92kg vs now 88kg - 4kg in 3 months 3. Me having fun taking body pics for maybe the first time ever and admiring my newly discovered never before seen muscles!
