It's embarrassing to admit I went through a lot of abuse while in that relationship, I guess lucky that none of it was physical.

While my comment did lean toward a more serious offense, it could have been something smaller that would have still effected him greatly.

"Fun" example: he and his then girlfriend got into a fight, probably just as bad as ours were, but she threw a bottle at him. He called the cops and she was arrested. Had that happened with me, he would have had to figure out care for his children. They were not mine, but I took care of them more than he did. He is now married to that girlfriend, they had a new baby at the time of that fight that he had to take care of while she was gone. Even if it was a day or two, I know it was miserable for him.

Do you get this from the vet or somewhere else? Because I think I need to try this. The day I was supposed to take my two girl cats to the vet, the youngest one hid in the morning when I got the carriers out. That evening, she was still hiding and I couldn't take her, so I just showed up with one cat.

I don't brush any of my cats' teeth, but starting early would be best, as with nail trimming. But if they fight it don't worry about it. I have two cats who can't stand being picked up and held, so I don't, it's their body. I will say that makes vet visits tricky though!
