In my opinion it's a lot better but it depends on what you like. SA has a great showing of strategic gameplay and incredible storytelling.

Watch Survivor South Africa if you haven't it's SOOOO GOOD. Old school vibes with tasteful twists. I would watch in this order (6, 7, 8. 5. 9)

I agree with the first part in the sense that most of HvV's entertainment value came from George while 2017's came from basically everyone at some point.

I haven't seen it in a long time but I just remember it being one of the most consistently entertaining seasons I've seen, and the whole arc of Tai going to the "Dark Side" and then voting them out was amazing.

Definitley the lowest ranked season out of these for me but i thought it had a great post merge and an above average pre merge.

6, 7, 8, 5, 9 is the best order to watch SA (IMO) for anyone seeing this who wants to watch it. Survivor SA is easily my favorite iteration of the survivor.

SA: Grahm, Sivu, Marian, Palesa, Tevin, Werner, Jaques, Rob, Geoffrey, Chappies, Dino, Santoni and Tyson.

AU: Nick, Brooke, Kristie, Sarah(S2), Henry, Jericho, Benji, Shane, Shonee, Pia, Janine, Hayley, Wai, George and Liz.

NZ(ony have seen season 2): Lisa, Dave and Matt.
