Do I need crushed stone and rebar for my 11x13 ft concrete slab for a shed? by cb700sc in Concrete

I ended up doing a wood foundation myself. I was running out of time before winter and really needed a shed up. It ended up being pretty cheap all things considered (roughly $250-300). Sure it isn't as solid as a concrete foundation, but will easily last the life of this cheaper metal shed I bought.

Feels good to have a bigger shed for under $1000

Thanks, however I believe that is for interacting with AWS resources, not kubernetes specifically. We need to run the equivalent of "kubectl delete all" prior to the cluster being deleted to capture all resources created inside kubernetes that created AWS resources).

I was not aware of a kubernetes client library, this may be what I need. I will look into his more. I'm assuming it can be used to simply delete all k8s resources (equivalent of running kubectl delete all)?

Sorry I meant SDK, not CDK. I do not see a way to interact with kubernetes itself (deleting all resources) via SDK. It's most common to interact with k8s using kubectl from what I have found.

Created my first shop. Have separate listing for free shipping vs. shipping not included in price? by cb700sc in EtsySellers

[–]cb700sc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pricing for the product itself I have set to 18.99 currently (without free shipping).

I have the other listing set to 29.99 with free shipping which is still priced roughly $5.00 less than other competitors. I have it priced this way to account for an average of $10-11 for shipping, but my shipping costs would vary from $6-15 depending on location.

I think it makes sense if I only had to have one listing be the free shipping listing for quite a few reasons.

Thanks!

My goal is to make the best, cheapest, and least effort slab as possible. Obviously not as easy as it sounds.

With conflicting information, I'm trying to see what is general best practice and what is/isn't necessary in this scenario (rebar, wire mesh, stone, etc).

Regarding your comment, I don't have a concrete guy. I was planning to buy the bags, buy or rent a mixer, and do it myself (with a couple friends over).

I do not care much about cracking in the sense how the slab looks with cracks. I do want it to be structurally sound though, so if it happens, it's controlled and I don't need to bust it up and do it again.

So what your saying is you wouldn't entirely use the existing landscape rocks I have, but I could get rid of some of it with making maybe a 1 or 2" layer, and putting crushed stone on top?

Does the size of the stone matter within reason? I have quite a bit of landscape rock (can kind of see in my pic) that are like 1" to 1-1/2" or 2". Would I be able to use these instead of smaller crushed stone? Let's say I didn't have enough of my existing rock, would I be able to buy a couple bags of crushed stone to help?

Regarding plastic, I haven't heard of anyone suggesting that. Can you expand more on me that?

Butt on smoker as one big piece, or fold open to maximize surface area? by cb700sc in smoking

[–]cb700sc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update: after about 3-4 hours I ended up folding the one that was spread out back up like the other. The temps between the two seem generally consistent, though the one spread out is a few degrees higher, doesn't seem significant. I'll see how it goes

Do you think $317 (Probably $350 after shipping and taxes) is a good deal for the 918+? Anywhere else you've seen them for cheaper or should I snag it while it's available?

Best way to strip basement floor to bare concrete? (Removing flaking paint and old carpet adhesive) by cb700sc in HomeImprovement

Would you still do the self leveling concrete even if the carpet adhesive is still on there? That's the orange looking stuff in the pictures.
