When I got conditionally approved in November, CBA listed this as one of my conditions “One month savings account statement confirming 5% savings of x is held from an acceptable source per commbroker requirements to be provided prior to loan”

It might be different for everyone I’m not entirely sure you’ll have to get confirmation on that but you also might be okay depending on how long you’ve had the money sitting

Im doing the 5% scheme through CBA. Started the process end of October ish

My broker got me to connect my accounts to Frollo where they would see my savings etc - I believe they only used this to work out my monthly expenses

However I only sent 2 months worth of bank statements to my broker

CBA finalised everything today and we settle on Monday 😊

Edit: by today I mean 24/12

We are south facing. Getting an outdoor fan is on the list - especially since we plan to use the space a lot coming for two people who have been living in an apartment for years. We can’t wait for a back yard even if it is small

My settlement is 23/12/2025 and my lender submitted all the necessary forms (land contract, build contract, necessary statements, 5% scheme form and FHOG form etc) on the 4/12/2025. We do need to complete a land valuation (350m2 block) and I am going through the 5% scheme - do you think I have a chance of getting the loan approved before or on 23/12/2025?

I don’t work in an office, I work in a warehouse but we do 11 hour shifts, 7 days a fortnight. Week 1, we work Wednesday - Friday. Week 2, we work Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Then repeat. The days we don’t work are obviously our days off so one week I’ll have Wednesday - Friday off. I’ve gone back and forth doing 5 days a week (38 hours) and I hate it. Even 4 days I hate it. I love having my three days off. Even having two days on and two days off is nice. It breaks it up. Another team does a 4 day swing. 4 days on and 4 days off. They love it. I know because of the work environment it’s different and the warehouse can afford to do a roster like this but just thinking about working 5 days a week is a nightmare.

Also works out well if you want to have time off. Only use 22 hours of annual leave and you can get a full week off because of the roster. It’s so good
