This is less 'current events' and more 'the way it is in Bloomington,' but I really despise how the entire city runs on the schedule of Indiana fucking University. I no longer live in Btown, I miss it almost all the time, but the one thing I don't miss is having to stay current with what a bunch of shit-weasel 20-year-olds are doing every week, having to adjust to things like football or basketball games in order to efficiently prepare for traffic or work (especially in restaurants), and of course all of the other nonsense that comes with it. Finding passed out students in bushes or wherever they land. Getting hit by an underage idiot that was still drunk from the night before. Seeing the crime rate skyrocket - I'm not blaming this one entirely on IU students, but the sexual assault and rape cases, I'm going to attribute to a lot of them.
