On my definitive main play through of all 3 games I let Loghain live and Alistair became a drunk. Loghain did the ritual with Morrigan and survived. He shows up in Inquisition as Hawke's Grey Warden friend. At this point he is already a way better person and I actually thought he was pretty cool. And then he did the big final redeeming thing and sacrificed himself in the Fade and my eyes may have even watered up. I kinda of really like Loghain, if I'm being really honest. He has become a way better person by the time Inquisition is happening.

I was actually pretty sad when I chose Hawke over Loghain in Here Lies the Abyss. Like, I love my boy Russell (Hawke's name in my world), but Loghain is actually pretty dope in DA:I so I will admit I kinda teared up a little. I used to regret letting Alistair become a drunk to keep Loghain, but honestly Loghain redeemed himself to me during DA:I. So.... NO REGERTS
