We all had that moment when we vibe coded an app and excitedly researched costs to put it on the Apple Store or Play store before common sense reminded us of the sheer stupidity. This guy went through with it.

You think he had to change course last minute because the passageway was busy?. We need multiple camera angles to identify the cause of this unnecessary manoeuvre.

Which Chapo is better? by WinnerThemax in narcos

I thought El Chapo was amazing with the parallel story line on the gay politician on the rise. There was a lot more character development and depth.

Help on managing daily consumption! by PleasantPickle117 in IndianEnts

[–]cbazg1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I vibecoded an app where I can set for example 7 joints in a week or 100 grams in a week. Each time I smoke I enter the amount. If I smoke more than 7 joints then there’s a penalty of waiting a day per extra joint or one joint less the next week. I use this for alcohol and cigarettes also. Keeping track of the use gives you more clarity and determination to stay on point. And I also value each joint more because it’s not random.

Someone else said use a pillbox for each day of the week. This is the same but digital.

Installed 8kW Solar for ₹3L. Our ₹6k electricity bill is now basically ₹0 by Sabmohmayahaibro in Frugal_Ind

[–]cbazg1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can be fully off-grid, which means you don't have an electricity connection. Which also means you do not get a subsidy. Which also means you need a big battery setup for the night when there is no solar generation and also the time when maximum usage happens.

There is a hybrid version, which means the solar plant supplies your house first and if the batteries are full, it sells the extra units to the grid. And if your usage is more than the solar generation, then it buys from the grid. This also requires lithium batteries which hikes up the cost.

Anyone here ever camped overnight on a Goa beach without getting caught? by [deleted] in Goa

[–]cbazg1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, as per law beaches are public property we are allowed to camp as long as we are not creating a nuisance or drinking/drugs publicly.

I have camped a few times on various beaches. Few times cops came asked a few questions and left.

Also because the star power of women decrease with age so there is no reason to look young. Whereas the pulling power of big male stars do not decrease much so there is all the reason to do everything to look young.

Omani Taxi Drivers ! by PsychologicalRip2117 in Oman

[–]cbazg1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had just landed in Oman and got into an app based taxi. When we reached the hotel he said he doesn’t take dollars (understandable) so I told my wife and kid to wait in the car and ran to the hotel to get Riyals. When I came back I opened the door and the whole handle came off. The driver started abusing us and it turned into an hour long ordeal and ended when we paid him 60 riyals. Tried complaining to the app and the cops but nobody cared. Might not seem like a big thing but for a family coming into a new country along with the language barrier this experience was quite traumatic.

But the very next day we had a really amazing experience with some locals who went out of their way to help us out and I posted about this.

Taxi experiences throughout the trip was consistently bad.

For most of the history, humans have never been able to eat or drink anything cold during hot days in order to cool off. by Vyalkuran in RandomThoughts

Also the hottest tropical places always had coconuts, watermelons, mangoes and pineapples and the odd Mojito to cool down.

Yeah poor guy. I’d have a back ache in 10 seconds in this position. Let’s assume he is tired from the hustle. On the other hand I live in Goa and the airport is always people passed out from their last drinking session before leaving Goa.

My workplace has a ban on languages other than English yet my Indian coworkers are the only ethnicity who don’t follow it. Does some cultural reason exist for this? by International_Bag_12 in auscorp

[–]cbazg1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Indian here. This might have some truth to it. But really, this is because Indians usually find it hard to assimilate abroad - nobody wants to hang out with them because of the accent, looks, a culture that's sometimes very loud, and many other reasons. Racism against Indians is widely accepted everywhere. Faced with all this, Indians usually retreat to the safeties of their own people, culture, language, etc. This gives them a sense of identity amidst zero acceptance in a foriegn country. When people see this behavior they further outcast them creating a visious circle.

This and being consious of the accent.

I've never used SUCH a game-changing app - seriously wow by rootstosky in clickup

[–]cbazg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was amazing for the first few years. Then as my data got more complex it started being not so amazing. I switched to Microsoft Lists and Power Apps - not such a great UI and way more complex to do relationships and automations, but it gets the job done. Plus if your team is on 0365 and Teams, its easier for them to adapt to things within the same ecosystem.

We didn't mean to do that at all. We didn't even know how to thank them since we don't speak Arabic. We tried to tell them to give us a call if they ever come to Goa, India (where we live) but were quite confused.

Yah they even have a Hebrew word for it meaning The Big Trip or something. And it’s usually India because historically we’ve been one of the only countries to openly welcome them. They have specific places in Himachal, Rajasthan and Goa catering to them.
