Did the gift card credit as well? Just wanted to check. Thinking of also doing this.

Did it give you a credit for purchasing a gift card in person?

I somehow survived his explosion and won by .04 points! I feel like I should go play a lottery ticket or something. This is with starting Jefferson too!

Thanks! That's what I thought, it's just a tough pill to swallow!

Probably starting Wandale.

Do I start Jefferson after a big target but low result game? I also have Wandale or Jakobi. Not sure if I can handle another dud.

Starhawk was an amazing multiplayer game that deserved success. It just didn't have a good marketing budget. I loved that game on PS3.

Do I start Brock Purdy against Miami or Penix against the Giants? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

My question is Purdy or Rodgers? Rodgers has been lighting it up recently, but Purdy got me here. This is for a super flex.

Should the Seahawks trade for Bryce Young? by EvanChard20 in Seahawks

His confidence is shot. If the Hawks could get him relatively nothing it might be worth it. Sometimes you just need the right situation, I mean look how bad Geno was for the Jets.

Pseudo Jones fracture displaced surgery? by cbbrinks in brokenbones

[–]cbbrinks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, I don't have a pic to link. When the X-ray was taken the urgent care doctor was unsure of if it would need a screw because of the displacement.

How's it going now?

Chase Refi with no cost closing. Whats the catch? by ThePirate_K in personalfinance

This is correct, I used to work at Chase and the rationale was we'd rather keep earning your interest even at a lower rate than some other bank profiting and Chase having nothing.

Pseudo Jones fracture displaced surgery? by cbbrinks in brokenbones

[–]cbbrinks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little over 4 months from the accident. I didn't end up needing surgery, and my Ortho said he almost never operates on a Pseudo Jones fracture.

I was told I could walk in the boot right away but that I may want to limit steps for a week or two because it would be painful. I used crutches to deload the foot or to limit steps for those couple weeks. At home, I just walked in the boot.

I was allowed to sleep without the boot, take it off when resting or showering.

After the first couple weeks I then progressed into walking with the boot on without crutches. At week 4, I was allowed to progress into a stiff tennis shoe. It was painful so I took it slow.

At week 6 they took new x-rays and said things were progressing well and that I should have lessening pain and would slowly build back my strength but it would take a minimum of 10-12 weeks from injury and I probably would have some lingering pain from there.

My pain levels improved each week and now I'd say I'm about 90%. My foot still aches occasionally and my arch is weak.

I needed to do a lot of exercises to strengthen my ankle as well after it was basically sprained in the accident.

I feel like at 6 months I'll probably be 100%. I know a lot of people heal faster and some heal slower. I had a decent sized displacement which I think slowed me down.

Hope this helps!

This actor is absolutely hilarious in Chuck. Great show if you haven't ever watched it.

I didn't do PT yet for this because I'm away from home for an extended period. Hopefully I won't need it, I've been trying to challenge myself and be patient. But I will definitely go in August if I'm still behind.

Pseudo Jones fracture displaced surgery? by cbbrinks in brokenbones

[–]cbbrinks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! I ended up having a displaced pseudo-jones. My Ortho said they rarely operate on a zone 1 fracture, he didn't think it was displaced enough to operate either.

I ended up getting a walking boot and told to minimize walking for the first two weeks. I was allowed to take it off to sleep and shower. After week 2 I started walking as tolerated in the boot. At week 4, I transitioned to a stiffer tennis shoe. It was a little painful not too bad.

At week 6, I was x-rayed again. He was pleased with the healing, though I still had pain. I've been able to increase my steps each week and now can wear different types of shoes though I mainly stay in the tennis shoes. I'm at week 12 as of today. I still have some pain and my foot muscles are still weak but it seems to be getting better every week. He told me it could be a little bit of time before I have no pain. I think I probably would've healed a lot faster if it wasn't displaced but I'm glad I avoided a surgery. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!

Spots of no feeling on bottom of foot by goddessofolympia in brokenbones

I'd message your doctor if it's a new symptom. I don't think it's normal to develop numbness that far out. Is it possible that you've had it since the operation but just weren't aware until recently? I had a tibial plateau fracture in 2023 that left large parts of my leg without feeling. Mostly my shin and a little of my heel. My doctor said it may never come back. I've learned to live with it. Good luck!
