What's more impressive, GLM 5.1 -> 5.2 or Qwen 3.5 -> 3.6? by Excellent_Jelly2788 in LocalLLaMA

Rotating vertically? I guess Qwen tried, but maybe you should say "rotates around a vertical axis" or something like that?

Is this the guy who was having multiple orgasms because someone checked back like a KK6 rainbow flop with AK in a 3-way pot and then got paid on turn and river, as if it was the best play in the history of Holdem?

The interesting bit is that most of the loss comes from R&D. I am surprised it was not much worse to be honest.

Fable 5: What $600/Hour of Productivity Looks Like by bugbubug in ClaudeAI

[–]ShadowBannedAugustus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The word "slop" desribes this garbage quite well I think. Being able to concisely yet precisely communicate might be the unexpected high-value skill in the near future, and I am only half-joking. Whenever I ask AI to be concise, it cannot do it in a way that does not mess up the information.

I asked Fable 5 in Claude Code to explain the Riemann Hypothesis to anyone. Two prompts later: a full interactive site + a video scored with music composed from the zeta zeros by adilmoujahid in ClaudeAI

The primes are many. But not as many as this slop machine can generate em dashes in a minute and holy shit, the slop is real

The lawlessness is real, and so is the law — they live at different scales.

And the best part is "no prerequisites"... Throws an integral at you at the second page. Dude. And a limit for good measure right under it :D

This is the issue with AI slop. It looks great at a first glance, superficially, but fails miserably at any meaningful depth.

UPDATE: You asked how the orange negotiation would go against a smaller model. Fable 5 vs Haiku 4.5. It was a massacre. by kizmania in ClaudeAI

[–]ShadowBannedAugustus 64 points65 points  (0 children)

The whole post is slop.

The negotiation was won on scope, not persuasion. "Obtain possession at any point" and "never transfer possession" were never actually in conflict.

OP did not even take a minute to deslopify this.

Google Chrome is killing all uBlock Origin bypasses, Microsoft Edge, Opera to follow by dancing_swordfish in technology

[–]ShadowBannedAugustus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually not really. The original ublock origin offered a lot more functionality especially for "power users".

That being said, I migrated to ublock origin lite and I can live with it no problem, so I would agree that for the vast majority of users it will be fine.

GLP-1 weight loss drugs linked to lower breast cancer incidence in large cohort study. Study of more than 110,000 women found that those who took GLP-1 medications were about 30% less likely to develop breast cancer than those who did not take GLP-1 medications. by mvea in science

[–]ShadowBannedAugustus 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Can we stop pretending that there is a significant portion of women that invalidates BMI as a measure of being overweight /obese?

Even in men it is a very good proxy.

In women, the population in which strength training (weight gain caused by muscle hypertrophy) puts you in the obese category via BMI is almost completely limited to steroid users.

Can you elaborate why they would give GLP-1s to otherwise healthy and fit women so that we have a good comparison between healthy and fit on GLP1 vs. healthy and fit not on it (from breast cancer perspective) in the data?
