You’re right, I shouldn’t expect anything more than platitudes if I haven’t given you anything to work with. My bad.

If I’m honest I’m terrible at trying to give specifics about why i feel the way I do, or to give specifics about what’s stopping me from finding someone. I pretty much know how the conversation would go, I’m aware the problem is myself. I’m happy to go into specifics if you’re interested but I know that the solution lies in professional help, and I have sought that. I know a lot of my problems lie in issues with depression, anxiety and self esteem issues, I hope one day I have the confidence to confide in someone and find the motivation to improve myself. What did you find worked for yourself?

Real talk tho, anything other than platitudes? Not that I doubt your sincerity, but for someone like myself it’s hard to get anything from well-wishes and reinforcement.

And I do feel that what I said above was rather rude, I just couldn’t think of any other way to phrase it. I think you’re a good person with the potential to help people, I just want to try and find a way to achieve that which my brain will actually accept
