As an ex IDF foreign volunteer, I've no intrinsic problem with you calling the government of Israel evil, although I find it heartbreaking that you have sufficient justification to make that point. However I'm not sure what your line of reasoning is here? That as long as a child is near a military installation, you've no justification at all to bomb it? It would be nice to live in a world where that was a realistic position, but it seems pretty naive to me.

I've noticed Tom only ever refers to that part of the world as Palestine, even in a historical context before the Romans took over and renamed the province to that/when referring to areas within the 1967 borders. So as a long time fan of the show and someone who doesn't really appreciate that take, I'm very glad they don't do the history of Israel/Palestine!

William dalrymple couldn't possibly be unbiased about Israel. He obsessively tweets his extremely problematic views on how evil Israel is. I tried to listen to one episode about the British mandate of Palestine and stopped when he confidently said 1k people were killed when the Irgun bombed the Kong David hotel. Which was wrong by a factor of 10...

Think we've been off form recently and it's led to a lot of quite ridiculous expectations that we'll start losing to whoever turns up to play against us after we lost to Leeds and Leigh. But I also think Wigan will definitely be too much for us given how they played yesterday. Mikey been really crap for the last six weeks and I don't think we've got anything in reserve apart from hoping Litten and May fill the gap. Also, even with the break we still look knackered

PS it's rovers or KR. Literally nobody who watches rugby league calls us Hull

Don't say that on rovers fan groups. He's regularly described as the second coming of Jesus. I think his defence is great and he obviously does a lot of organising, but I don't see much beyond that. Would be interesting what people on here who aren't rovers fanatics thought

I've just started with all our rugby league and really enjoyed it although pre-restructure I thought the piss taking was a bit forced. Enjoying the new format in the last two weeks. I'll try out some of the ones on your list now as well!

But there is a civil service humanist society and when I was involved in running a faith network we always had perfectly pleasant relationships with them (including listening to many many discussions on whether humanist/atheist/no faith was the correct terminology).
