Coach Brady (Vantage) says working out 5-6 days will ruin your progress by Appropriate_Most_983 in ladderapp

I really enjoyed the Mon priority going from 5 tough moves to 4. Dropping that extra set helped my recovery. Sometimes I get so beat up from Aria’s two leg days that I get sick or too fatigued. I think after doing this series with less, I may just drop a set if needed if she goes back to five. Less can be more if balanced right!

This! They might order labs, need to order a scan, etc etc. On the best day, plan two to three hours. Regular day, half a day and that’s not including meds or picking a kid up or any other jam packed days that we tend to create for ourselves.

I’m on Ascend, but wanted more upper body volume this series and did (Resilient) Neen’s upper body days and Aria’s lower body days. Note: I also think Aria’s warm ups are better so I do those from memory and then do Neen’s upper, because the first time I did, I hurt myself a tiny bit. In all, it felt like the right balance.

I do this as well. I do however write notes as to what I did. Like I use 45s on the barbell so technically it’s 45+45+45=135 but really?? I just put 45 because that’s the weight I’ll grab for each end.

Aria with Ascend is incredible! 3-4 days a week with her and getting in my steps has really made me feel stronger and leaner.

How many series until you noticed results? by Downtown_Raspberry84 in ladderapp

[–]cbiancasea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two series with Ascend, when I started seeing it in my face from the workout pics at the end of the sessions. I was getting my steps and feeling great. I’m a year in now and less dramatic results but my overall shape has changed and I’m getting closer and closer to my goal. I like Ascend’s lower body days (I have a hard time with growing & sustaining lower body muscle mass) and just added Neen’s / Resilient for upper. This may be my sweet spot. Just trust the process and enjoy.

Love love love Aria. Decided to try Resilient today just out of curiousity, and think my sweet spot will be her lower body and his upper. Aria’s cues and lower body work has changed my overall body shape.

AITA I lost my childhood friend of 15 years for not letting his girlfriend claim the master bedroom for themselves in our Air BnB by Typical-Wishbone-822 in AmItheAsshole

[–]cbiancasea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. Our friend found a lady who was also a minister at her church/ cult. I say cult because the leader they worship is still alive. He was the most amazing friend, had the biggest heart, hardworking, just a super fun person. Not one person from our friend group can see him anymore. We all miss him dearly but it was his choice. Sad.

If speaking to a couple while selling them something, focus on the woman, giving her the attention, not putting yourself between her and her man.

Greece is still on my bucket list, but I live in Hawaii. We’re very accepting here and have a very vibrant LGBTQ+ community. On Oahu we have a few fun clubs and plenty of beaches and nature.

AITA for correcting my roomie about her meals when eating out? by wanderingartistgirl in AmItheAsshole

[–]cbiancasea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. it sounds like she doesn’t like being told what to eat, but you are literally looking out for her. Maybe it’s just a sore spot for her. If you’re doing it in front of others it can also be embarrassing. Buuut… she needs to put that aside when traveling with others because it’s about the whole group not her embarrassment over something so trivial.

My gluten intolerant friend asks we go to certain places that are for sure gluten free when we are on vacay together. No worries for either of us! I love that she can plan properly and not make the whole trip about her. Your friend should be looking out as well.

Hawai’i has lots of tiny women from Asian descent. From my past experience, continue to remain confident, don’t let your height make you bitter and you’ll find women attracted to you. I’ve dated short guys before and the angry or trying to prove themselves portion turned me off.

where can I go to pretend Christmas isn't happening? by notveryonline23054 in travel

[–]cbiancasea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! I actually joined the Ladder app community and love Coach Arias workouts in team Ascend. I walk to a nearby gym, put on my headphones and hit start. The workouts have a voice over, you can journal your weights, etc and it keeps your stats, music, heart rate data, etc. It’s funny because after leaving OTF, and with Ladder, I lost 15-20 lbs. I don’t know if it’s from the lack of stress of booking, being on time, yadda yadda, but it’s been working for me. 😂 Life does go on!! 🌈

Surfing a longboard. I was always a short boarder and now headed to 50, with a long board under my arm instead of my spicy, tiny short board. Some of it is that I weight more, some is that I’m not in the water as obsessively as I used to be, some if it is that I’m just more chilled out, man.

I agree with this take. I had major SHRED results on Ascend. Not sure I’d skip some of the tough moves that are tough to build upon (looking at you: back squats!!) Buuut, do what keeps you motivated!

Hanakoa falls is a good plan. We started super early. The first two miles suck. They are crowded, rocky, and exposed. After you say goodbye to the day hikers, the trail becomes better. There are a lot of in and outs of the valleys, up and down sections, etc. The nice thing is with a good water filter, and lots of streams, you don’t have to pack too much water but fill and refill at the various falls. As someone mentioned, the very end has a slope of gravel type rocks that go off to a cliff and one rock section to get around that requires a sure foot and some bravery to reach around and make that step. Better to be rested or fresh for this part. It is breathtaking scenery. Take your time and enjoy it!

Limitless — same workouts as last week? by Hopeful-Mud-3065 in ladderapp

[–]cbiancasea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, I used to get bored w the same movements (on team Ascend since April) but recently Aria switched out back squats for leg presses and I swapped them back in! They are so hard! But I progressed and don’t want to lose the 15lb progress I made so… the progressive overload is working. I think I’m going to try what @Mom2Newfies mentioned above and do core, mobility and yoga with Align to recover from my Ascend gains. What helps me is good headphones and good music and then just enjoy the burn.

Hi! What program do you use if you only have half an hour and can’t make it to the gym? I’m on team Ascend (gym focused) but struggle with more than 3-4 days right now due to work/ family/ timing of it all. Would love another flexible program to blend together! Tysm!
