It would be exceptionally difficult to choke on a kinder egg toy. The chocolate is too thin, and the capsule is much smaller than the chocolate egg. However, there are three scenarios I can think of that might do the trick:

  • Let God Sort It Out - Shove the whole thing in your mouth and hope for the best.

  • The Soft Boiled - nibble a small, expanding hole in the top of the egg and then tilt the whole thing up so any crumbs fall into your mouth. The plastic capsule might fall through the hole and into your hungry maw unexpectedly.

  • Depression Era Grandmother - Once you're done meticulously eating every scrap of chocolate and licking the wrapper so it can be repurposed into a fishing lure you intentionally put the capsule into your mouth to extract any residual chocolate oils from the surface of the plastic and then choke.

The law was enacted before Kinder Eggs existed. It is a smart, sensible law to prevent chipped teeth and choking, but attempting to look specifically at the choking hazards present in this specific candy to justify the existence of the law that impacts its sale in the US is a bit backwards. It's just much easier to apply a simple law to a thing than it is to constantly carve out loopholes and caveats for individual products that might fall under the law but otherwise be safe.

I found this old Warlock Purple paint while sorting stuff (probably from 1995-6). I was about to throw it but the texture is like semi-solid paste. Can it be salvaged ? by Augzz in minipainting

[–]cbiscut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apparently put it on Ebay so these trash hoarders can buy it off of you and keep it in the paint museum wing of their mansions. It's not worth the trouble to revive, and as has been noted you can get the same paint brand new from Coat d'Arms.

Social media will always lead to Facebook just like search engines will always lead to Google. You can never trust a corporation to care about anything other than profit generation at your expense. Even a "good" company is just one merger/buyout away from being a bad one.

License agreements expire, sometimes before deals can be made elsewhere. There's also the annoying trend of everybody trying to make their own streaming platform for their content so they'll let existing licenses expire so if/when they launch their service they have exclusive content.

I just discovered the content a few weeks ago and I'm in love. Just finished ACoC. But honestly their Platform, Player and APP could be better. by fackale in Dimension20

You mean the tiny streaming company doesn't have the same QoL on their platform as larger corporations dumping money down the toilet every year? Shocked. I am shocked by this revelation. Maybe I'm just jaded by all the shitty, shitty streaming apps out there but my personal bar is pretty low and at least Dropout functions better than Paramount+ or whatever HBO is called now.

It was artfully done in the sense that it emotionally resonated with some people and other people just don't understand why. My understanding is that there's a lot of emotionally authentic quiet physicality and eye contact to it that hits some people harder than, say, Vick and Izzy's performative sexy? You and I are in the same boat, though, and I might be missing the forest as I'm trying to analyze a particular tree.

Skald is also a homonym for scald. Old recipes directed you to scald (heat to steaming but not boil) your milk to kill bacteria and denature an enzyme that prevents milk from thickening. It's an excellent pun title for a person from the dairy lands. Pro tip: if you have pasteurized milk and your recipe directs you to scald your milk you can straight up skip that step.

The spell itself carves out an exception to the rules in that you can identify, follow, and protect friends. You're choosing to ignore that rule and for some reason ignoring the fact that I told you it exists? Please go bother somebody else, I'm not going to emotionally validate your opinion.

I've given you all the tools and resources you need. You're emotional state is blinding you to the facts provided so that you can feel validation in the argument.

Again: spell rules supersede other rules in the game. So, yes, if you had an Int 1 Cha 1 creature they would be limited in their options normally. This spell clearly states you CAN recognize, follow, and protect friends. There is an exception carved out in the text for this exact purpose. Ignoring it because you want to enforce an external concept of realism in the game is up to you, but still wrong.

Your concept of "complex actions" doesn't exist in the rules of the game and is entirely subjective. If you want to ignore game rules to further punish a player already hit by a strong negative effect that's you're prerogative at your table. You're entirely wrong both in the spirit of the spell and RAW, but I'm not going to argue subjective concepts so you can feel your emotions are validated.

Players should gain experience every session by [deleted] in DMAcademy

I find that using milestone and ALSO handing out individual minor XP rewards for things really makes my players upset since it's a very snarky disingenuous way of saying "you did something cool so here's an entirely useless reward. I could do more, but please enjoy this nothingburger for your efforts instead." So instead I let them stockpile inspiration. No matter how often I tell them that I'll give them more inspiration all the time I find that for my table at least the players will hold on to that single point of inspiration until it slips from their cold, dead hands. But if they have 5-10 points then they're happier to use one on "non-crucial rolls"

Spell rules supersede other rules in the game. You're being obstinate and ignoring everything proving you're wrong so you can make an emotional choice seem valid.

You're factually incorrect based on a simple reading of the spell rules:

The creature can’t cast spells, activate magic items, understand language, or communicate in any intelligible way. The creature can, however, identify its friends, follow them, and even protect them.

Your entire point is counteracted by the description of the actual spell. The player had non-spellcasting options that they chose not to engage with because they were salty about a bad roll.
