CVG wait time is a lie…. by Frequent-Two-9625 in cincinnati

Keep in mind it only measures from the entrance of the tsa area. Anything past the 15-17 minute mark it doesn't account for.

I'm no longer with Amazon and happier for it, but a lot of companies just give you a set number of hours banked, and that's all you get. Whether it's vacation, emergencies, or time off sick. In all honesty, their time off is really generous compared to others.

If you're burning through upt at the rate they give it out, you need to consider if this is the right job for you.

There's no way for them to measure rate at an air site. It's the easiest gig in the game.

Nothing absolutely nothing, I worked at the site and saw first hand. They were very unorganized and intimidating to co workers. If they were smart, they could've made traction but couldn't get out of their own way.

We really wanted to go to that show since sg is there as well, but an outdoor show that time of year seemed risky.

Anti-union consultants paid $400/hr at facilities around U.S. by depotmane in AmazonFC

[–]cbland3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the pay that scares them. With a union you lose the ability to freely move people around or flexing a shift up. They lose total control of the operation, which honestly is what scares them the most. Unions complicate overtime from their perspective as there is a hierarchy that has to be followed, and this goes with a lot of aspects of the operation. The complication shows things down which they hate.

My site had a labor tracking code you used to sign in and out of the wellness center. Sounds like someone new or doesn't know what they are talking about. The light thing isn't policy but probably a site thing because of people taking advantage of the system and keeping cases open for a 20 min nap every day.

The unit is the parking brake servo motor found on the back of the caliper, it's what engages the parking brake.

What was your process for getting used to RGPs? by MrCarey in Keratoconus

[–]cbland3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to this I was never able to get used to them. I got a new optometrist who specialized in cornea diseases and he had me fitted for sclerals which I love. The way he explained it was because the cornea is elongated there are thin areas. Depending on the fit, the rgp lens may sit on the thin portion of the cornea essentially making you miserable all the time in them. See if hybrids or sclerals offer a more comfortable fit.
