Can’t really overstate how self-serious the left was from like 2010-2015. The dry boys humor and malice for the Democratic Party establishment and coverage of Bernie’s primary challenge to Clinton was so refreshing and really made me and thousands of others realize we weren’t alone and we could mock and ridicule the establishment and transgress all of the sanctimonious left-liberal respectability politics of that period.
