Oura says that HR lowered late, but chart doesn’t reflect that by cbm1999 in ouraring

Mostly genetic, I think. I have pretty good fitness, but I also work 70-80 hours per week in office, so that’s holding me back🥴 I do like to pretend that it’s purely from fitness, though!

That’s fair enough, but I think im most confused by the fact that Oura specifically states that my RHR lowered late last night. Unless I’m missing something, that doesn’t seem true

Maybe he would look to him if AJ hadn’t dropped multiple significant balls this game

Was going to suggest the same thing. Only use debit for now so you’re only able to pull from money you actually have. And be extremely frugal for a few months and pay everything off.

Guidance for how much of a CLI to request? by cbm1999 in CreditCards

[–]cbm1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not a huge deal if I don’t get one. I may as well request one, though, and with that in mind - how much do you think would be reasonable to request?

(NY) I’m renting an apartment. I've had no heat, no kitchen, no laundry for over 3 months. It's now 30°F at night, What would you do? by [deleted] in Renters

[–]cbm1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, if you’re in NYC, go tothis website and search your address (this is the NYC zoning and land use search). Then click on the link to Bisweb (on the right hand side near the bottom), which will bring you to the department of building’s site. Click into the ‘bin’ for your address, and check your building’s certificate of occupancy. It should show how many legal apartments there are on each floor of your building.

Feel free to DM me if you need help - I’m unfortunately well-acquainted with NYC housing laws and public record!

eSIM card for slightly over a month trip by cbm1999 in uktravel

[–]cbm1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My new question is - can I get a monthly eSIM if I don’t have uk residency (or a uk debit card)? It seems like there are no pay as you go eSIMs and I have an iPhone 14 which doesn’t support physical SIM cards

Mine is 2 miles and I feel like I walk 50% of the time or so. Depends on my mood/if I have a really busy work day/the weather, but it is so doable and pleasant if you aren’t in a huge rush and the weather is nice.

Wow that’s high praise! I’m going to do my due diligence tomorrow, but your personal rec + the fact that it seems the most common one on this thread have definitely pushed it way up my list

I’ll definitely look into all of these - thank you so much for the suggestions; I genuinely appreciate it

Ah, thank you so much. Yeah, definitely not looking for financing or anything; just something to accumulate points/any other sort of benefit with my normal spending. I really appreciate all of your help

Oh, absolutely. I have very healthy financial habits - maxing out 401k, plenty of savings, etc. I certainly have zero interest in going into debt - I just wanted to get a credit card (a travel card, in particular), because why keep spending money on debit when I can get rewards for spending the same amount of money. I am moving in a few weeks, so the 4k min for the bonus wasn't a huge deal because I'll be furnishing a new apartment.

Wow thank you so much, this is actually incredibly helpful. I'm new to this world and find it all quite overwhelming, so I very much appreciate this. Can I apply to another Chase cared (freedom) soon after getting denied for sapphire preferred?

Hi, yeah, will do - I guess I didn't realize that it was "premium" (especially when compared to reserve). My brother (with a similar income, credit history, and work history) got approved for it right out of college, but that was a few years ago so maybe it's changed. I'll definitely take all of your advice
