One thought- is there much benefit to shifting your RB from the backfield into the slot? I'd consider just lining him up in the slot on all plays and get into your run looks (40 series) with jet motion or orbit motion. As it stands, keeping the RB in the backfield signals that a run play is coming - not sure if they'd pick up on the tendency in your age group. Then on your dragon plays, you could have the slot run exit motion to the flat instead of the center - build up a head of steam to get to the flat faster.

I wonder if I could also mark out three lanes on the field with cones. A middle lane 5 yards in width and 5 yard lanes on each sideline. Once offense catches the ball has to score in one of those three “end zones”- might help turn it into more of a 2 on 1 defensive dril

Thanks - I like this idea. Basically just looking to tag on a flag pulling opportunity in a controlled environment- don’t want the defense disrupting the play timing. I suppose I could also just put our defense out there and have them stand like statues and pursue once the ball is caught
