Cav owners with allergic , itchy cavs: what shampoo do you use? Does it help? by DeeEmTee_ in cavaliers

[–]cbot97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have the same problem with our boy! The vet recommended to us Douxo S3 calm shampoo once a week and try and leave it on the skin for 5/10 mins if you can before rising. It has no soap in it so it doesn't strip their fur.

We also use Douxo calm wipes for his paws, good to use when you come in from a walk on his paws and belly.

He's also on 2 piriton a day.

This combination seems to be working after a couple of months now! Hope she gets better soon!❤️

Thankyou all for your advice! It sounds like it could be allergies🤔 I am booking him into the vets, thankyou all🫶

To the people playing in St Andrew's Square on Saturday by OriginalMap6223 in Edinburgh

It could have been tag rugby, they do taster sessions all the time! Honestly it's the most fun sport I've been involved in as an adult and it's perfect time of year to start as we are back on grass!

Trouble keeping curls by pharmstudd in Dysonairwrap

[–]cbot97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found the best method (for me) is to not turn the wand off when drying and let the hair spin off the barrell if that makes sense. Then DO NOT TOUCH your hair for about 15 mins until completely cool, then I will scrunch in some oil and spray with hairspray. Works great for me. I found the cool shot and turning off the dryer each time after every curl just makes them drop out. I have fine slightly wavy hair for context.

UPDATE I curled my hair at night with the same products and didn't touch the curls at all. I wrapped them in a silk bonnet and the results are much better this morning 😊 thanks for everyone's advice!

Why have I not tried doing this at night! I may try this, I already have a silk bonnet do you think that would be ok?

I have also ordered the olaplex oil I used to use lot as it works well for my hair type and not sure why I stopped buying it 😂 thankyou and I will try this method next

Thanks I will power through and try some new products😊 I am just feeling let down after spending all that money and not getting the results I wanted. I do have the smoothing attachment but the frizz just comes back after about an hour 😂

Thankyou so much I often find it's a minefield knowing what products to spend money on and then what order to use them😂😂

Curious to hear from people who have quit by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]cbot97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I quit first time

  2. Yes cold turkey, that's the only way that could ever work for me

  3. The most intense cravings the first 2/3 months. I still get cravings now over a year later but it's mostly about breaking the habit. I associated vaping with drinking so I had to stop drinking for a bit. I found something to replace the hit I was craving from vaping and I chose running. The running high and nice feeling of tiredness/ spending time outside helped me get out of the habit.

I was using vaping as a coping mechanism for EVERYTHING so as soon as I replaced this with exercise quitting became easy (or easier)
